not seen one yet in Papaya, would be cool if you get that, however oak green is a really nice colour saw one recently and its stunning.
I drove to most of the Porsche Centres in the South / Southeast of the UK to look at colours. Managed to see in person:

  • Jet Black
  • Volcano Grey
  • Ice Grey
  • Dolomite Silver
  • Provence
  • Gentian Blue
  • Frozen Blue
  • Papaya
  • Oak Green Neo
  • Copper Ruby Red
  • Adventurine Green
  • Slate Grey Neo

I don't think there are really any bad choices.

Ice Grey looks nice and modern but Papaya and Oak Green Neo are the standouts. Copper Ruby Red also looks nice but a bit boring in anything other than full on sun.

Black / Volcano grey is the worst in my opinion. Just boring, but the car still looks good.

One of my decision points is whether to pay move up to 4WD, its only ÂŁ2700 but im hearing that the RWD is a better driving experience
RWD is super slow off the line though (if you've driven EVs before). 4S was magic from a standstill.

Driven many quick evs and the off the line speeds is becoming less important, versus handling, cornering, body roll, brake feel etc. Most evs chuck you back into the seat from the line even at 5 seconds to 60, its still pushing you into the seat. If i go up to the 4, it will be for the purposes of handling the amount of bloody rain we have here

I find RWD perfectly good at starting off, with linear acceleration, and doesn't give that neck snapping feeling some EVs do.
Personal preference, of course. And suits me for meagre 20 or 30 mph city driving limits we have in the UK. At other speeds, when I press the foot, it goes.
At Porsche Experience Day Silverstone I was given RWD Macan, and it really came into its elements on the track : )

Yes agree on this, the rwd is definitely not slow and literally half a second difference vs the 4 , which is negligible. Obviously a 4.1second on the 4s is an extra ÂŁ8400 to consider. Lots of youtuber content stating that the RWD is actually most fun to drive. My only worry with the RWD is grip in the scottish rain.

How did you spec yours? Did you also do salary sacrifice?

Yes, and Taycan RWD also has good reviews too.
Here is my build, but this now has ÂŁ1300 price hike as I bought it before the hike.
https://porsche-code.com/PSAUPXS5

Now that I have the car and considering some tweak in options that Porsche have done, (a) I would have gone for Extended leather package in Black/Crayon.
And (b) probably done away with Interior package carbon and heated windscreen to balance out the cost. More leather is always better.

I paid the full amount - intend to keep it for longer, but never know when there is another upgrade in 3-4 years : )

Nice colour choices!

My dealer told windscreen isn’t needed as you can just use the app to pre heat before entering. I wouldn’t take the hud, had a couple with and without.

Ive heard alot people say that they regret not going for extended leather, im going for a red interior so i fear extending will be too much red!

The black gloss side blades, anything black gloss gets easily scratched (current car mach-e has this) so ive tried to avoid like the plague

Those 20s with air suspension will give you on amazing ride quality, think im going for the 21 offroads as i love that look and its a happy medium size.

I keep changing my options but need to wait to see what the pricing comes in at.

That show's how much higher they think the residuals are going to be for the 4S over RWD.

This is mine.

ÂŁ1,252 per month, so only ÂŁ100 a month more but ÂŁ15k higher spec (which is about ÂŁ312 a month spread over 48 months).
I think the issue is that Ayvens charge any extras at full cost rather than say the 60% of the base car value you end up paying over the 4 years. So you pay the full cost and then benefit from having a higher spec car to sell on at the end of the lease. We ended up getting a 4s with them with with a P11D value of ÂŁ82,200 (pre price rise and luxury vehicle tax) at around ÂŁ1,200 a month (10,000 miles a year over 4 years)

Yeh that is quite harsh and very unfortunate that a Porsche without many options isnt really up to much

This is without any tax allowance things like above.

Your spec:
  • Gross - ÂŁ1,877
  • Net - ÂŁ1,177
Same spec but Gentian blue:
  • Gross - ÂŁ1,725
  • Net - ÂŁ1,082
Just white (in case you want to wrap it):
  • Gross - ÂŁ1,697
  • Net - ÂŁ1,065
These rise annually as the new benefit in kind and VED rates come in.
After the realisation that the lease company charge 100% of the cost of options

Ive really scaled back the options

RWD

PS6VPWE3

OR

Macan4

PS9QTWX0

If not Papaya then probably Gentian (seems tough to keep clean)

I’ve had my 4s since December & with a few options my total came to about £1200 gross via Ayvens.

i bought a company car calculator from a youtube guy, which allows you to input all your personal financials to work out the effective cost post tax. Mine comes to about ÂŁ650 a month NET.

Youtube channel is called Carfinancetutorials or something along those lines. Well worth the ÂŁ10 or whatever it was as you can play around pension, salsac, p11d values etc. to work out how much more it will actually cost you rather than the quoted prices on the portal.

These numbers don’t seem to be inline with what Ive seen elsewhere, in particular for a 4s with options, which is likely a much higher p11d than my spec.

Id love it to be true though!

I think it depends on tax brackets, the higher up you are in the 40/45% tax bracket the more saving. I’ve essentially eradicated all my earnings that would have been taxed at 45% so those numbers are close to accurate for me personally.

If you want to give me some mock numbers i’m happy to run it through the excel for you (gross yearly, salary, p11d any pension contributions etc.)

Many thanks for this, decided to just pay the calculator and it works well. Much cheaper than I thought, so will have a much better idea of what to budget for. Nice one!
