Touch screen failed.

Driving around on Friday, the vehicle touchscreen stopped responding. I was on the security check screen when it happened, and nothing could be done to change it, including two soft resets with the volume button and turning the vehicle "off" and on. It appeared that all the underlying software (e.g. nav, media, etc.) was still operating and the drivers display was acting normally, including map display. But i could not enter the security code to get the center display working.

Charged it over night and when I came back the next morning, it was working normally.

Anyone have experience with this electronic gremlin?

I experienced the exact same touchscreen issue for the first time on Saturday. The issue corrected itself after locking the car and returning a few hours later.

I had the center screen and the optional right passenger screen boot up and then turn black on April 4 & 5th, I resolved by holding down the volume button for 30 seconds which reset resets the PCM. I found that in an another posting on this forum.
I found out that Porsche North America was having a problem with backend servers starting mid April I believe that could affect Digital and could affect PCM. The problem had not reoccurred since and the proximity Digital key is working again with my iPhone.
