Red electric system failure

Got the dreaded message while needing to get to work.
interestingly I had set a departure time and 85% charge. The car was fully charged AND my circuit breaker was tripped at the panel.
It was towed to the dealer.
(drove the wife's car to work)

any thoughts as to why the breaker would trip after completing the charge?

ps I had driven in 5 min of fairly heavy rain a few hours before plugging in

Ours (24 Macan 4) is in the shop right now for a central high voltage unit replacement. Charging failed but car was drivable. Part 95C-915-233-BB.

Did a search and seems this part is failing on Audi and Porsche which use the same part. I believe a quite big job to replace as its under the rear seats, not sure it has access or battery comes out to replace.
