anyone else having this issue? every time I open the rear hatch in a rain storm - get a whole load of water either side of the screen dump itself in the boot loading area! or am I doing something wrong...

going in to porsche west ldm service centre next week for couple of NVH issues (front dash pass side rattle from 3rd screen blank and drivers side door card creaking) and other problems inc the Bose disappearing audio - module firmware update (recall to Installing extension to software network VR28.11 Campaign number : WSD0) and door handle fix rear pass (it fell off!)

anyway anyone reckon its worth flagging with them?

or is it just the shape of the coupe swoop with no spoiler, means water just gonna do what water does, if theres nothing physical in its way to stop it...

I get that after using the car wash. There is quite a bit of water that gets trapped under the rear spoiler.

I manually extend the spoiler before I exit the car wash tunnel and before I get to the high velocity drying fans. It helps somewhat, but I still get some water runoff when opening the boot/trunk.

Mine does the same and I think in a previous thread most members had the same issue so likely will be conveyed as “being normal” by Porsche … doesn’t hurt to ask I suppose

I might trying extending spoiler manually when it's raining (very often here in London & N. France hahaha) see if same water dump occurs! and will ask service team...

First rain I experienced was while getting groceries. I couldn’t believe how much rain got in the trunk. What engineer missed this???

Yep. Another one here having a soaking in the boot when I open it after rain. A very poor design and surprised they missed it. Might be worth us all emailing Porsche to see if they are aware. Only take a quick sentence or 2 to get their attention on it I imagine.

I confirm that every time it rains or I wash the car, when I open the trunk water gets in

I had a problem where the upper left trim piece that was supposed to shield from water, had a manufacturing defect, and got pinched when closing. I imagine this could have caused water ingress. Eventually it fell off entirely. Service ordered a new piece, and it's worked well ever since.

open the back hatch, top-left trim in the actual hatch. Check if this happens to you? It could be more than just a one-off.

So water does not get into your trunk on rainy days?

The dealer fixed it. These images were from before then, but, this being July in Northern California, "rainy days" wasn't a thing :)
