Dr. Michael Leiters will become CEO of Porsche AG on January 1, 2026

October 17, 2025

The Supervisory Board of Porsche AG has appointed Dr. Michael Leiters as CEO of Porsche AG, effective as of January 1, 2026. Dr. Oliver Blume, who has led Porsche AG as CEO for ten years, will continue to serve as CEO of Volkswagen Group.

Dr. Wolfgang Porsche, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Porsche AG: ā€œAs CEO of Porsche AG, Dr. Oliver Blume has taken great responsibility in challenging times and successfully managed the company. The Supervisory Board of Porsche AG would like to thank Dr. Blume for his strong commitment. We look forward to continuing to work closely and trustingly with him as CEO of Volkswagen Group.ā€

As CEO of Porsche AG, Oliver Blume paved the way for record financial years, the IPO of Porsche AG, and the expansion into further international markets, as well as historic motorsport successes. He prepared the generational change in the Porsche Executive Board in a long-term and strategic manner.

Dr. Oliver Blume, Chairman of the Board of Management of Volkswagen Group and Porsche AG: "After ten years of responsibility for Porsche AG, I have decided to hand over my duties to my successor at the end of the year in the interests of Volkswagen Group. I have had the privilege of developing a great company with a fantastic team. I am delighted that Michael Leiters, an experienced professional in the sports car business, is taking on this role. He and the new management team have my full confidence. I wish them every success.ā€

With regards to the current situation of the company, Oliver Blume says: "Massive changes in what are by far Porsche's largest single markets, the USA and China, have placed new demands on our business model. That is why we have structurally realigned the company this year and comprehensively expanded our product strategy. With full flexibility in drivetrain and an improved cost structure, Porsche is now robustly positioned for the future. In my role for Volkswagen Group, I will closely accompany and support the further development of Porsche."

Before taking up his position at Ferrari, he held positions at Porsche for more than 13 years, most recently with responsibility for the Porsche Macan and Porsche Cayenne series.

Two awful Taycan experiences- Dealer useless Porsche GB appear not to care - new dealer and Macan 4S better
I stand by my statement that dealers are the true brand experience, and the irony of it is...they are *not* the brand itself.

Unless the dealership owners trully care about the brand to begin with it's all downhill. "More sales at all cost" is the death of brands, but dealers are mostly motivated by...sales. They could care less (for the most part) if you come back in 4-5 years.

My dealer has been excellent. They invited me to a photo convoy trip with a free lunch out of the blue last weekend. That included letting me drive a $450,000 GTS part way and check out the roadster (see attached). The service department always does their best to address any issues and has never given me anything but full attention. Way above any other service department I have dealt with (and I have encountered quite a few over the years). Some shots attached

That’s how it should be - I have no intention of visiting my local dealership until the management changes - old Chinese proverb ā€˜ a fish rots from the head’

Hi to All Porsche Owner Colleagues.

Agree with perspective that many dealers are interested in sales and less so service.

That said, no matter the brand the margins are in maintenance and parts.

Thankfully not all Dealerships are unresponsive as was noted by our colleague in the UK.

I’ve experienced Porsche Dealers in the UK and US. While dangerous to generalize I found the ones in the NY area of the US to be interested in after sales service.

The Dealership’s principal/owner who is involved hands-on in his/her dealership makes all the difference. It’s their business and they take pride in it. Doesn’t hurt to snoop around and figure out which dealership in our respective areas are run by owners who are involved versus those with absentee owners.

Not hard to figure out. Wishing all happy motoring.

Hi Folks, aside from my very underwhelming purchase experience (they just removed a cover from my car, and I had to ask for any kind of Porsche swag), the service has been amazing at Porsche Prestige (dealer closer to where I live). The technical rep is excellent, they update me with texts and emails of the status often, they clean the car inside out every time I drop by etc. Free dessert and drinks while I wait. I had been invited to the unveiling of a new 911, a golf tournament (free I think but I could not make it), and a track day at Circuit Tremblant with a professional driver ($495 CAD + tax). I couldn't make that either but the aftersales experience has been top notch.
