We have roof rails on our CPO; we will not have them on our custom ordered 2027. Very useful to those who need and kudos to Porsche for making them so well integrated into the body aesthetically and also according to Porsche having thus created them with very negligliable range consequences.

Purely our aesthetic choice (lower height) to not include them next time.

Funny, listening to this review, I realized this is how folks who do not own a Porsche will review it, and honestly, this is how I would have reviewed it before I bought one. I came in focusing on the price and what options I could live without (just getting what I need or even what would be good to have for resale), to now identifying the options I want and how I can expand my budget to acquire them, knowing that some of them cannot be added after I make my order. This may resolve to a similar core build, but when you change the focus from need to want, then you are a Porsche owner....lol.

Coming from Tesla, which has about 3 options, to Porsche with 40 + choices was part of the almost overwhelming mindset change. It’s the difference between shopping at a fast-food restaurant with a fixed menu and a MICHELIN-starred restaurant (or perhaps more appropriately, a top-tier buffet where you can customize). You do not choose your food the same way, nor do you review these restaurant choices the same way, and so to, you need to look at the value proposition of each brand for what they offer and understand that comparing them, or evaluating them in the same way takes away from why you choose a Porsche over other brands.

Most Michelin restaurants around here (at least the two and three star ones) do the prix-fixe set course presentation ... Just sayin'
But, yes, the idea is "you have the purchasing power; get it the way you want it, rather than the way the dealer wanted it."
Like a custom suit, rather than something off the rack.

We have roof rails on our CPO; we will not have them on our custom ordered 2027

I ordered them in black for our Frozen Blue 4S, as a contrast and to match the rest of the black trim on the car. However, we will never use them, and they get in the way for washing the car. I need a step stool to reach over them to get to the inside edges for washing and drying.
