Does anybody knows why there's a code scanning feature here?I'm pretty certain there wasn't such thing in the previous version...!Maybe we can scan the charger code and initiate the procedure when we choose a network offered by the Porsche Charging Service such as Ionity?

This scanner is for charging stations.
That's what I suspected Tomek...But for what charging stations should be used? The ones already provided by Porsche Charging Service?For the stations in Porsche charging lounges?And if this is the case,how the payment will be made?Will the credit card associated with our Porsche account be charged?

Yes, scanning the QR code is equivalent to swiping the RFID card (or the crest keyring).
It works at the same charging stations as the card, provided the charging station has a QR code.

Yes, scanning the QR code is equivalent to swiping the RFID card (or the crest keyring).
It works at the same charging stations as the card, provided the charging station has a QR code.

Even though my question it's not 100% relative with the OP subject it was arised because of the app update and the ability to use Porsche Charging Service directly from the app.Here it is:
Do we have Porsche charging Service access available automatically following our car purchase or do we have to obtain it manually? According to the app we have a 3 year access to the "Plus" option of the service.But when I reach to the corresponding page in the app it shows me the "Plus" service already checked and priced in £ instead of € and have the "simple" option free!Even more strangely when I try to obtain a service option it asks for an UK address exclusively otherwise the procedure is impossible to be completed.
The dealerships here (all 3 of them) are completely ignorant what's going on as the service isn't available in Greece because there isn't any Porsche charging network partnerships here and when I tell them I plan to use the car extensively travelling in Europe they still don't have a clue what must be done like I'm the only one asking for something like this (maybe in fact I really am!!)
Another 2 friends of mine,also members from in here as well,are also interested very much on this and we're all like hitting a wall when we bring the issue to a dealership.
So,what actually is going on with this?

Thank you @TS23!I was also informed the same by another dealership as the one I got my car from is in Athens 500 Km away.Thing is none of the dealerships (there are only 3 in rhe entire country) knows how to do it for me or any other Porsche EV owner here.Most disturbing is they not even try to learn the way to do it, leaving their clients entirely out of the service just because there isn't a charging network available here in Greece covered by the Porsche Charging Service!!
Tomorrow I plan to visit the local dealer again and insist to tell me the procedure to obtain the service on my own from within the My Porsche app.In case I get the same answers and ridiculous excuses I'm ready to contact directly Porsche client support department at their corresponding mail address to inform them about the issue and their entire dealerships network incompetence here.ι

Sounds very frustrating.

It’s intuitive and only take a couple of clicks if you have an account setup with Porsche.

That’s to facilitate the ‘purchase’ of the subscription.

It should be on one of your to do’s in the app from memory.

Used to be on the app for Taycans and probably still is. I have it on my app which I use for my 911 (!!) and possibly a carry-over from when I had a Taycan.

Ionity will use plug and charge (if you have enabled it) so no need to scan generally.

If you check the details of the charging service you should get a list of Operators. Scanning the QR code will unlock the EVSE and establish the cross charging link for payment.

Use the Map filters on the app to select app based authentication which will then list those operators where you can scan the QR code.



In principle you can scan any EVSE which is part of the Porsche Charging Service to initiate a charging session.
