Live in Central London but travel to Suffolk a lot
Why do you need speed recognition in central London? It's anyhow 20 mph nearly everywhere. By the way, next year walking may be faster than driving Porsche with proposed speed limit of 10 ;-)

in my case the speed limits are generally wrong on dual carriageway - roads such as the A12 use 60mph. I wonder if it doesn’t see a destructed sign it assumes the 60mph limit.
Between the poor white lines, crap signage and vegetation overgrowth I do wonder how self driving cars will cope !
If you can't see the speed limit sign due to overgrowth, there is no speed limit beyond general rules.

? Ha ha. However, as I thought I made clear I drive out of London very frequently. I would prefer to be able to use the Porsche route map but due to the speed limit recognition being so unreliable I always use Waze.

mmh. Tell that to the speed camera you next encounter and the magistrates court when you appeal the fine and points. And anyway, that doesn’t help when the car tells you the speed limit is 30 or 50 when it is in fact something completely different and faster

An update on ownership - collected our Macan 4 on 7th March and as of today have 8604 miles covered..
I am smitten with the car and have no issues or gripes really.
After having taken a long time to hone the spec there is nothing we are missing or concerns us - we did spec it up to ÂŁ94.5k mind!
I had one occasion where my wife had driven and the car refused to acknowledge my key or allow me to change account the next morning - but that righted itself after a 30 mile journey and a restart.
I also had one occasion when we lost all assistance apps and had loads of warning lights but against a temporary glitch that righted itself when I stopped at a junction and turned off and restarted the car.
So just two issues in nearly 4 months.
Zero range anxiety even on long journeys - Cornwalls a challenge for charging at times mind!
18 way sports seats are comfy and great - no backache.
Bose is mega.
Matrix headlights superb.
Speed and delivery is addictive, and the wife after getting used to the size is fighting for the key - she wants sport sound all the time and wears a grin most of the time when driving (we’ve been married 36 years this week so she doesn’t tend to smile much ??‍♂?!)
Love the adaptive cruise and innodrive - use it on nearly every journey.
Our colour choice and black accents seem to draw attention.
Extended chalk beige leather really is worth it, as is the racetex steering wheel.
So summarise love, love, love this car and really can’t fault it.
I have a Macan Turbo EV with ticks in all boxes and now with 35,000 km since I got it. I am very satisfied with the car, the driving, the acceleration etc is fantastic.
Do I miss the room and trunk size of BMWs which I have been driving for 24 years YES, is it a problem NO and would I change back NO.

Lovely.

I have an Oak Green Neo 4S hopefully coming in 2-3 weeks. It's in production now. Only saw my first one in the flesh on Friday on the M11. Looks great and super happy with my choice.
Superb colour, great choice.

Hi Darren
Good to see such a positive report without any serious criticisms, especially the assistance system faults that numerous others have experienced associated with Innodrove. My speed limit display errors appear to have been sorted at the last software update 4 wks ago, but in over 6 months of ownership, the car has never shown a traffic sign, & Porsche don’t appear to know how to solve it
Does your Macan 4 show traffic signs as well as speed limit signs ?

What kind of traffic signs is it supposed to show?

Mine has never displayed any road signs except speed limits, and those are dangerously wrong all too often, regularly showing a 30mph limit just after entering a 70mph zone from a 50mph one close to where I live. Oddly, it changes again to 60mph after about 300m even though no more speed limit signs are passed.

My car is 8 weeks from delivery and had the latest software at that time. I'm not aware of any newer software - but who knows.

Other than this though, which isn't the end of the world, my Macan 4 is a delight.

Chris,
They are supposed to show traffic warning signs such as “bends” “crossroads” “junctions” “no overtaking” etc. alongside the speed limit display

Now I think about it, I did see an oncoming traffic has priority sign pop up a few weeks ago for a couple of minutes.

I’m at a similar stage too! So much better range than my previous 2 terrible Taycan ct 4S - Range over 300 miles. Love the proper opening sunroof, defect in rear door glass sorted - door opening still an issue at times but overall 8/10 - wish it wasn’t an SUV!
