An update on ownership - collected our Macan 4 on 7th March and as of today have 8604 miles covered..
I am smitten with the car and have no issues or gripes really.
After having taken a long time to hone the spec there is nothing we are missing or concerns us - we did spec it up to £94.5k mind!
I had one occasion where my wife had driven and the car refused to acknowledge my key or allow me to change account the next morning - but that righted itself after a 30 mile journey and a restart.
I also had one occasion when we lost all assistance apps and had loads of warning lights but against a temporary glitch that righted itself when I stopped at a junction and turned off and restarted the car.
So just two issues in nearly 4 months.
Zero range anxiety even on long journeys - Cornwalls a challenge for charging at times mind!
18 way sports seats are comfy and great - no backache.
Bose is mega.
Matrix headlights superb.
Speed and delivery is addictive, and the wife after getting used to the size is fighting for the key - she wants sport sound all the time and wears a grin most of the time when driving (we’ve been married 36 years this week so she doesn’t tend to smile much ??‍♂?!)
Love the adaptive cruise and innodrive - use it on nearly every journey.
Our colour choice and black accents seem to draw attention.
Extended chalk beige leather really is worth it, as is the racetex steering wheel.
So summarise love, love, love this car and really can’t fault it.

Forgot the opening glass panoramic roof - great option and really is worth it for light and airy cabin.

Darren. My 4s is the same age, for once I’ve been very very lucky with a new car - no issues whatsoever. My previous new Lexus EV was a nightmare.
I too am really enjoying owning and driving it. I used plug and charge at a 350kw GRIDSERVE charge recently - absolutely seamless. Just plugged in, walked away and when I came back the car was charged exactly as the screen said it would be.
I‘ve had the update campaign but haven’t noticed anything different except I’m sure the map has been upgraded - I was told it was to do with the infotainment system. When I collected the car I was told about the incorrect speed limit issue and had hoped that the update would correct it but it hasn’t.

Had quite an amusing speed sign come in the HUD saying 90mph so imagined saying - I always stick within the car speed limit officer !

Lovely.

I have an Oak Green Neo 4S hopefully coming in 2-3 weeks. It's in production now. Only saw my first one in the flesh on Friday on the M11. Looks great and super happy with my choice.

Actually had another little wrinkle in that the auto cruise didn't recognise the overhead variable speed limits on the M5 at Bristol and despite them being 60 or 70 wanted to set me at 50, so i used the right foot override ;-)

Curious that you don’t mention the speed recognition issue that I and many others have that means the speed limit shown in the car is totally useless and I have to rely on Waze at all times. Was that just an oversight or do you really have no issues with speed limit recognition

She'd really like a V8 as she grew up with American cars here in the UK, but she prefers the sport sound over the silence.
To date I've only seen four Macan EV's in the wild, here in our part the West Country and not an Oak Green.

Its only been the one occasion and otherwise its recognised all signs and the innodrive works well, to be fair on a motorway I'm usually setting the cruise above the legal limit anyway. There are occasions where if there is a lack of signs that it says temporarily unavailable but we are rural and therefore maybe it should set itself to default national speed limit where there are no signs - but I don't consider it an issue as such as it works fine everywhere else.

Had Macan only for 3 months, but speed limit recognition generally worked well - no difference really to merc. There are smaller issues but this is mainly down due to careless placement of signs (see below, speed limit not for A3 but how should the car know). Where do yo live in UK?

I think you must be the only owner I have heard of so far who hasn’t had an issue. ?. I have had it tell me that the speed limit has gone from 70 to 30 to 80 all on the same stretch of motorway or dual carriageway. Sometimes it’s accurate if a clear sign is there on the side of the road but often it has a mind totally of its own and It is totally bonkers

in my case the speed limits are generally wrong on dual carriageway - roads such as the A12 use 60mph. I wonder if it doesn’t see a destructed sign it assumes the 60mph limit.
Between the poor white lines, crap signage and vegetation overgrowth I do wonder how self driving cars will cope !

That's strange but car may read speed limit signs on vans/trucks as well, which is really annoying. I will get my new Macan in September, so let's see. I had a similar problems with my Mercedes, at some point in time the car always accelerated to 80 at the same location on A3. Strangely, there was no sign and it didn't happen before.
