MY26 software update (week 36) for MY24-25

I agree that the locations are probably not hard coded into the software. However, the press release does say there will be a software update for current cars before the end of the year, to update the charging planning. This could be bigger than just “add some more locations” and may take some supercharger specifics into account like adding to network filters. The press release also mentions support for plug and charge, so that may need a software change to the EV.

It looks like there are two stages - soft launch where you can simply use the locations as generic charging stops, and a software update where better integration will be available.

My guess is that it is a digital certificate (for P&C handshake and authentication) similar to the one already in your car for EA / Ionity which can be maintained via My Porsche app.

Location and Tesla EVSE' details could be a typical map update as per other EVSE' updates for other providers as they get signed up for the Porsche Charging Service.

hello newbie here macan 4 lots of options, love it. quite best car to drive and be in i've ever owned. - but will do a 'good bad ugly' separately. TLDR some unsettling 'beta version' stuff from the digital systems, some very poor network charging support (pod point i'm looking at you) & some disappointing NVH rattles and door handle problems i'm booked in for 'my first debugging' after 5200miles since feb 2025 delivery- had the Bose 'no audio' bug for first time and dealer said:
Audio fault – There is a recall to Installing extension to software network VR28.11

Campaign number : WSD0 (which may resolve the issue)

but im guessing you all have had that one already and this MY26 for MY25 is a more major one and won't come for a while right?

Don’t bet toot much on the WSD0 campaign.

they’ve installed it on my car 10 days ago to solve red/yellow/white circles of death which I had 1/2 times per 1000 km ; and now they occur each 50 km, a pain in the ass.
It was also supposed to solve the random non charging iPhone issue, lol.

the only thing that is better with the WSD0 is the regen.

Oh I haven’t had any updates ever on this car. Owned since beginning of August. All these recent gremlins are making me feel like I should schedule an appointment though. If only OTA updates existed

ALSO! Yesterday my Sport Sound started making a high pitch whistle sound that increases and decreases with speed. Instantly goes away when I turn off Sport Sound.

try your dealer and quote this from UK dealer:

Left the car for a software check after the Bose audio went down. No update was applied, audio came back on its own after 30min being locked...

My Macan 4 with Bose puts the audio automatically in ECO-mode since a few days.. I have to put it back manually to stereo (my prefererred setting) every time I get back to my car.

Sorry if I missed it - but does Porsche push new software over the air? I thought its meant to but these posts indicate that, in reality, it does not - and a visit to the dealer is needed.

So has anyone successfully received an update over the air? Aware that complaints usually get posts vs successful updates.

i think the answer is no right now. maybe soon. but its dealer visit to get major firmware updates at the mo. you might get map updates ota

Never, since my 4 was delivered Nov. 2024. I actually was at an owners’s meeting with the Porsche european managememt Dec. 2024. They said «we learned a lot from Taycan and it will be for the Macan (EV) that we’ll push OTAs more frequently.»
