I realize that, but the first thing the insurance companies ask for when a car is stolen to get both keys. If one of them was in the car than they won't pay out.
It's in my insurance policy and not even in the fine print.

Not at the moment. If parked in a garage/secure location you can just leave the key in the cup holder. That has been my solution. Too many times I forget something in the car and run out only to be greeted by a locked car. Frustrating for sure and what could/should be an easy programming fix. I don't have high hopes this gets pushed through as an update, TBD.

I feel like if I did this I would then forget to take my key with me after I park (not at home)… how do you remember to take your key? ?

Audio blasts occasionally at ear-splitting volumes (once from switching sources and once when i wiped the console and inadvertently spun the volume knob)
Is there a way to set a limit on max volume? I told myself I'd never buy another car that couldn't do this yet here I am.

Alternative route is an option that is switched off by default. Not sure if they pushed it OTA or I missed it. But it’s super handy feature. You can enable it via Map Settings -> Map Contents. Should be on by default…

You can drag and drop other apps in the side bar. In this case I added notifications.
