lol they keep panning over it oblivious to the issue.By chance I saw this random video showing a Macan with a strange cover flap as you talk about here, this one from a store or something. Isn't it strange that they keep it this way? Not very good looking for sure.
You will see it just a few seconds into the video.
Both charging flaps were sticking out when I collected our 4S from Porsche East London . The salesman was in agreement and had a technician fix it whilst the car was still in the showroom. It took him no more than 5 mins each side to rectify. I struggle to understand why it can't leave the factory flush. Furthermore, the dealership should address it before handing the car over to the customer. My Macan EV Manually operated charging flaps on both sides do not sit flush.
I went to Porsche dealership Solihull UK and they said it was in tolerance.
To me it isn’t within tolerance given it’s a Porsche.
Anyone else noticed this ?
The issue is hydrophobic (as someone has reported coming out of Porsche on the root cause) then shrinking the inner material may not happen right away until the material interacts with water in the air and the flap is actually flush when it leaves the factory and during shipping time it contorts. It should be inspected when it’s received by the dealer and corrected before you ever see it.Both charging flaps were sticking out when I collected our 4S from Porsche East London .
