My Macan 4 was registered in late May 2025. It has done 14,500 miles since then.

The car and app both indicate the next service is due in 11,00 miles or July 2027, whichever comes sooner.

Why then is the dealer hounding me with messages saying the car needs to be serviced as its 9 months since delivery.....? Clearly a money making ploy, but in the days of apps and cars saying when they need servicing its pretty pointless, surely?

I don't intend to have any servicing done until the app/car says so - that's how BMW work and I niever had a problem. What have others done?

TIA

I had such a notice and just had the dealership reset it. I think they forgot to set it up with the proper time interval at delivery

Service interval is 20K miles or 2 years - whichever is first.

Read the Owner's manual...

Oh dear, another 'RTFM' accolite..... The clue is in the user name. 🙄
If that were true, why would the car and the app say different? And why does the distance and long stop date jeep changing......

Condition based servicing, especially on EVs, has overtaken the metronomic servicing of old. Clearly Porsche systems are stuck on ICE standards!

As Shawn says, his dealer simply reset their datelines and I'll request mine do the same. But it shouldn't really be up to me on a car costing £90k....... 😬

Agree.. my XC40 did the same thing and in that case I had to dismiss the warning every single time I got in the car…super annoying. it seems to be one of those software “enhancements“ that works on a timer that needs to be set up rather than any internal system trigger but unlike the old ICE oil change reminder the benefits, don’t quite translate as EVs really don’t need such generalized regular maintenance reminders.
