This started last week. On getting in the car, Android Auto starts and I get a warning message, saying my phone battery is almost exhausted and needs charging, yet the phone is fully charged.
No recent phone updates installed, and no car software update. Is anyone else seeing this? I note that...
I have the same type of issue with creaking from the passenger side front sear belt height adjuster plastic housing. However, it's all the time, not just when hot. Very annoying and always there...... ?
I have been trying to establish the same. It's not in the onboard help section and I can't seem to find any reference to it in the online documentation either.
@Petzi You don't read people's posts and try to understand their point of view - you seem to think everyone should be like you.
I am not ignorant - I have read the manual, called the Porsche Connect team (about as useful as a block of ice in a sauna) and spoken to the dealer's team on multiple...
@Petzi Well aside from: why is the PCM is so dreadful? - it's very simple. Why are you prepared to accept a hugely substandard product and tell anyone who complains about it that it's just "part of the Porsche experience"? ?
Yet again, Petzi, you are being rude and are ill-informed. As the OP, I fully agree with dbsb3233 - the Porsche PCM is littered with bugs. You may like to delude yourself into thinking this is some mythical Porsche philosophy thing, but it's down right crap software engineering - I should know...
I've been trying to establish what the icons and coloured dots mean in the connectivity area of the PCM screen.
As far as I can ascertain, the 4G (LTE) means that the ar has connectivity for Porsche Connect. The bars icon is my phone's signal strength.
But what are the 2 dots? In the image...
I had the same happen last week. Collected my Macan 4 from my UK dealer. Data pass shows up in the vehicle, but the App Center reports no connectivity.
I spoke to Porsche Connect in the UK, who were as much use as a chocolate teapot! Spoke to Vodafone, who said the connection needed to be...
Sadly, this is the type of crass and belittling reply that gives Porsche owners such a bad rep among the motoring community (yes, even on a par with BMW owners!!!! ?).
What is so strange about my thread? Why is it a ridiculous list?
Its not me DEMANDING anything, just makiing observations of...
To clarify, as you both appear to suggest I shouldn't have gone forward with the Macan 4 and that I should have test driven one........I DID carry out a comprehensive test drive, and identified many of these issues. However, my i4 was at the end of its lease and I had to change. None of BMWs...
I swapped from a BMW i4 e-drive40 (60k miles in 3 years - 3.4miles/kwh over that time) which I loved, to the Macan 4 only 10 days ago as I fancied trying a different style of car. The i4 was one of the first in the UK, so like the Macan, an early example of an all new model.
I realise that some...
Another UK user here with the speed limit detection is appalling.......
My BMWi4 I had up until last week was almost 100% correct - the Macan 4 is probably right half the time, if that, and regularly throws a warning that it can't adopt the speed limit when in active cruise control........
Picked up my new Macan 4 on Tuesday and loving it. However, despite a data plan being in place and all connect services activated (validated in the car and the My Porsche app)., I can't get any apps to work.
I had to download apps to the car using WiFi from a tethered phone, but once that's...
