If you are in the location where Smart Lift activates, the car will remain lifted when you re-establish operational readiness (turn the car on).
No it won't. I have smart lift on my driveway. But when I come out in the morning, the car is not lifted, and smart lift does not lift it.

It may be that this is a difference between "brief stop" versus "deep sleep" -- how long the car sits with the power off.

That is interesting. My car lifts when I approach my garage and stays lifted when inside the garage for weeks at a time.

Mine stays lifted too for the night then it returns to normal when I drive out of that area, the next day

Sounds like I need to go to service again, then.

One difference might be my driveway; it's a good 15 degree incline it's parked on ...

My smart lift always works when arrive at home, but reverts to the normal level by next day. When leaving home again the Smart Lift doesn't engage about 1 in 3 times.

Even tough it has always activated and stayed in the lift position in my garage, I double-check every time before I back out of my garage.

The other option would be to turn the Drive Mode dial counter-clockwise one position to put the car in Offroad mode temporarily.
That's what I do when I notice the Smart Lift hasn't worked.

When I haven't noticed I simply scrape the splitter as a lesson to myself. To be fair, the driveway seem to have only one line over it that is low enough to scrape the front in normal mode so mostly I miss it.

Before you take it in for service, try deleting the Smart Lift location and recreating it when you’re at the bottom of the driveway.
Done that, too! (Service also recommended this) It doesn't help.

I mapped the diamond button to "lift car" (because it's also helpful for other poorly constructed road situations around here) and I live with it. Although it's a little annoying, because "don't scrape the car going out of the driveway" was one of the reasons I chose the SUV instead of the Taycan or another GT ...

(But the bigger reason was the lack of that annoying transmission -- who thought it was a good idea to put shifter lag into an electric car?)

It actually annoys me a bit that it stays lifted after I pull into the garage, and is still lifted when I come back in the morning. It’s a minor thing but I would like the option for the car to lower completely on hitting park. Instead I just flip it off sport plus and back, but I have to remember to do it. I know there are supposed to be third party kits for it but I can’t be bothered.

I don’t think I actually need it lifted to clear my driveway so maybe the better thing is to just disable smart lift.
