We own a 2024 Macan S EV and recently purchased a SuperTap adaptor so we can charge at Tesla Superchargers. We have owned a Tesla, so have the app and the account. We added the Macan in the Tesla app, selected the charger we were at on the Tesla app and hit start charging. We also selected the charger on the Porsche app and hit start charging. Since both apps recognized the station, we thought we were set. We plugged the cable in and after half a minute of it trying to connect (white lights on the dash.....not green) an error message came up on the Porsche app that we can not charge our car at this time. We tried at 4 different Tesla Superchargers. I called two Porsche service centers and no one could supply an help!!
Any ideas? Thanks.

I don't believe you can use the Tesla app and the Porsche app at the same time for charging at a SuperCharger. Just one or the other. Also, not every Tesla SuperCharger is available for non Tesla cars.

Sorry if you know all this already.

You shouldn’t need any app. Tesla SC charging is now Plug & Charge for Porsche and gets charged to your Porsche account. In case you haven’t seen the directions, plug the Tesla cable into the adapter and then plug the adapter into your car. Hope that helps.

Was it a lvl 2 charger? It needs to be a lvl 3 or 4 to work. Your app map should tell you. ( In fact your Porsche app map should only show you compatible chargers to prevent you from trying to use an incompatible charger so my question is do you see the chargers you’re trying on your app map?).

Does the specific charger show up as available for your Macan in the Tesla app?

Also, trying to activate the charger from two different apps can't be helping...

Yes, it was a level three. It was on both the Tesla app and the Porsche app. Thanks

Yes, it showed up as available on the Tesla app. And yes, I think trying to initiate the charge on both app at almost the same time was my mistake. Thanks.
