Tesla's gotten away with the illusion of auto-pilot/self driving for too long…I'm hoping this an other "reality checks" resets expectations

Idk, it’s quite possible that the driver did hit the accelerator while looking for his dropped phone like Tesla claimed. However, it’s hard to argue when we don’t know all the details. The jury did find Tesla partly responsible after considering all the evidence so the verdict will stand pending an appeal.

I find the driver's assertion that he thought the car would bail him out if he made a mistake laughable.

But Tesla did this to themselves with the name and marketing.
