Hi,
this is my first thread!
How the macan EV ended up in my hands its a long story. I'm from Barcelona.
Always looking for other macan EV owners around to share experiences, and comment about our local dealers (In Catalunya specially), please PM me.

Given the big community of macan EV owners here (hehe) I would like your sincere opinion on the Bose Sound System compared to the default one.
If possible what music samples do you use, type of music, volume, etc.

I don't want yo bias this thread with mine, what Porsche says consists on:

I Would definitely opt for the Bose and if you can really stretch your budget I would go for the Burmester but the Bose is the sweet spot for me. You get decent sound for a reasonable price and way better than the standard audio. You get more kick and better vocals and get a base EQ to fine tune according to your taste.

It also depends on what type of music you listen to. If you are looking for a more defined soundstage and clearer vocals, I would recommend the Burmester. The Bose is going to be louder and have more bass than the standard system. If you are purchasing vs leasing, a good stereo shop could upgrade the stock system for less than the Bose option.

Also, there is a youtube video comparing all three systems.

The Bose certainly is better than the default, although it does take up some of the trunk under-lid space for the subwoofer.
It's perfectly fine sound quality for normal listening, but does start to sound strained at the "I really shouldn't be listening at this level" levels.
Kinds of music: Anything from Bach to Skrillex.

the default doesn't come with a sub.... tha's a big component of the musical piece missing, whether you like a lot of bass or not.
Its part of the depth / color that you can't replace with door speakers.
I have the bose, i'm happy with it. I've never listened to the Burmeister, so i can't comment on it.
you gotta go at least BOSE IMO

I didn’t option Bose for extra boot space in my second Macan (first with Bose) but to be honest, extra trunk space is not that useful.

Standard speakers are good enough for radio. I was happy without until kids started to stream music. The biggest difference of course is bass and volume. I optioned Bose and insulated glass on Cayenne EV again.

Also, the artificial extra engine sound is fun for a few seconds but I find listen to louder music instead more enjoyable in the long run.

In summary, Bose is not a must but I personally would option it even if you think you don’t need it at the moment. Your listening preferences may change in electric car. Hope this makes sense.

Still the Bose is lame in the Macan. Compared to the Bose I know from the Taycan, a 911 or my former 981. Tried all settings and sources. Was really disappointed, because my expectations were higher.

The BOSE is actually good value for money, as if you look at it realistically, there are 14 speakers and amplification, so it's only costing about 90 euros per amplified device, which in real HIFI terms is not much money

I think the Bose is pretty good. Better than the Bose in the last ICE Macan we had ('22 GTS). Not quite as good as the Burmester in my 992 (stationary sound) but them the Macan EV is so quiet and the 911 is so noisy it's pointless having a good stereo system in the sports car. I haven't listened to the Burmester in Macan EV so can't compare tbh.

I initially specced without Bose to get the Trunk space and then last-minute changed it to Bose.
I don't regret it. The underfloor storage isn't useful anyway and you can still fit tiny items with the Bose (umbrella, first-aid kit).

The Bose system grew on me a bit. While initially I wasn't too impressed I changed a few settings (moving bias between the two front seats from the center & enabling surround) and I really like it now. Not the best audio system I heard in a car but definitely worth the money.
