£1,361 option in UK

Waste of money as most people don't have 3 phase electric supply and will not waste time public AC charging when DC is available.

Good to see it as an option and hopefully is more reliable than it was on the Taycan. Also an option on the Cayenne EV.

Checked again. Only standard equipment on GTS and Turbo. Still 11kw on 4S and below. I had to pay extra on my MY 26 GTS. I can charge 22kw at home, so I chose to add it.

Surprised that soft close doors aren't a feature. We moaned about it's absence on the Taycan some years back and now it's an option.
I remember someone asking this a Porsche Engineer in a video once. He said that this is on purpose to quote "differentiate the Macan vs the higher trim models, e.g. Panamera and Cayenne".

As we see more and more cheap chinese cars adding this I am sure it will eventually find it's way down to the Macan. Like most other comfort features have over time.

22kW reliability on the Taycan was a disaster.

I was contemplating for adding it to get the max 11kW out of the 48Amp EVSE input, but decided against it, as I just do not trust the reliability of it given Taycan track record.

I say good luck to you all who are choosing to have it or add it as an option.

But as you rightly say, it's standard equipment on GTS and Turbo. Not a choice. Choice only on models below.

I have a 2026 GTS arriving and I was able to avoid it, but agree, not any more.
I think chances are that it is all good so I will wait for the first reports of it going bad.
