It sure looks a lot like the Macan from the outside!

I spotted these in a hotel parking in Vancouver, Canada a few weeks ago. Note the cameras mounter on the sides. Any ideas what this was? It had personalized Georgia plates that said "Manufacturer HQ"

Looks like it could be a perfect SUV, current Cayenne does not drive to my liking but this with lower center of gravity and active ride could be fantastic - reviews seem to confirm this.

My only concern after the Macan would be buying the first batch of cars Best to let them sort out all the initial problems and buy one after a year or two. MY2026 Macans are much more mature compared to MY2024/2025.

While we love our CPO 2024 Macan EV, we didn’t asked up front and later learned it was a first month of manufacture. It spend a total of over 8 weeks (4 times each two weeks or longer) at the dealership getting both hardware and many software upgrades. Tomek’s post above can be “spot on” — as it was in our case. As J.D. Power and KBB say (paraphrasing here but just a little), “we don’t care if it a Rolls Royce, suggest caution in buying the first year of a new model or a greatly revised one.” It think that is a good caution but as the Cayenne is +80% Macan based, I would personally ignore the caution myself it I ”needed” a first year Cayenne. But if I had patience to wait until year two, that would be a smarter move.

I would respectfully disagree, the Cayenne is more like 10% based on the Macan. One of the responsible Porsche representatives for the Cayenne mentioned in an interview (on Out of Spec or Autogefühl, can’t remember) that while it uses the PPE platform, almost everything is different, including most of the architecture.
