Good day. So - as I wrote above - looking for some direction from this excellent forum. If I park the car indoors (in a warehouse - temps in the New Jersey warehouse will be cold - but not freezing), what sort of battery drain might I experience? In my 'old' world of the Tesla S - drain was...
So - finally here. Thank you to all on this site - so much information that is shared - it made ordering much easier than it would otherwise have been.
I'll be updating my experiences here - so as to help those trying to figure out which model / options to get.
Safe travels.
This is extremely helpful - as I've not seen too many 4S efficiency numbers. My 4S is arriving at the Rhode Island port today - so it won't be too much longer of a wait for me.
Quick question - did you option the 20' summer tires - or the all-season tires?
I believe it's not the same price, 'like for like'. A 'skinny' turbo would be missing options that for many (not all) will make a significant difference: Rear steering, HUD, Premium Package, etc.
But to each his / her own....
This is the age old question... Spend virtually the same money on a 'base' top of the line model vs. a loaded 'lower' trim.
While saving less than a second to 60 might be enticing to some, having the full spec of the 4S, with rear wheel steering, club leather interior, HUD, etc. was much more...
WOW - that's GREAT news! I was getting concerned I might need to go 'to the dark side' (Apple - and please - I'm just joking) to get the HUD to be incorporated into NAV!!!
Thrilled for you - my 4S spec is close - looking forward to seeing it in person soon, as it's now 'at the port'.
Please keep us posted on how things go!
Safe travels!
GOOD week for me - my 4S has arrived at the German port (Stage 6 on the Porsche app).
As Tom Petty sang - 'The waiting is the hardest part'.
Car should arrive at dealer in Edison, NJ in approximately 30 days.
As other have suggested - expecting this car to perform on the track is just foolish. Buy the Turbo or the 4S.
As far as the range - very pleased to see 350+ miles.
Very exciting to read thru these -- I just received an update yesterday that I have entered 'Stage 4' - my 4S is now in production. Counting down the day until delivery (expected 18 Feb).
Fabulous - CAN'T wait for more photos / info on your experience.
Needless to say - many are anxiously waiting to here your efficiency numbers (looks like you have the standard 20' wheels).
Safe travels!
