I'm looking forward to the usual YouTube people doing their range tests for the turbo vs. 4s vs. base...I guess it's possible that the turbo & 4s will have the same range, but it's a bit odd that it would be so.
We shall see!
No jokes - I promise!
BTW - I've purchased the car from Ray Catena in NJ (I see you're from my home state of NJ). Planning on picking it up - and driving it down to Florida.
So I'm very curious as to how my 4S (currently in Phase 3 of production) does here in Southern California. I've been driving a 2023 Chevy Bolt EUV Redline - I now have 22,000 miles on it since new - and I'm averaging 4.3 miles / kWh, with an average speed of 29.8 MPH.
I'm NOT expecting 4.3...
I live in Los Angeles - and ordered it.
No snow here - but as I do NOT garage my car (car is on my driveway), in the early morning there is often a mist on the car. My current car's rear windshield is used regularly.
Quick question: In looking at photos of the EV Turbo, the steering wheel appears to be 'thicker' vs. the BASE Macan EV - as if it's wrapped with another layer of leather. Is that so? If it is - what does the wheel look like on the 4S & 4?
Thanks!
So - while I'm waiting for my 4S with my requested SUMMER TIRES on the standard 20' rims - has anyone in the USA received this configuration - and if so - what tire did you receive?
Thanks!
THIS is exactly the point. Most of us are wanted to keep an eye on efficiency - I even kept the stock 20' wheels for the efficiency.
I would gladly entertain aftermarket wheels - but - not to lose 10-20% efficiency.
I had the experience back in the early 1980's to drive a Honda Prelude with 4WS. It blew my mind - it cut the turning radius, and improved high speed handling. I recently drove the Mercedes EQS - which also has RWS, but I did not like the car. And so - with the Macan, I treated myself.
I like your thinking - I tried to do the same thing. 4S on order - just received word from Porsche that my vehicle is now at Stage 3.
I tried to have some options 'control' - with that in mind - here's what I did:
Volcanic Grey
Rear wheel steering (I love this feature!)
Base 'Summer' tires...
So - as a future EV 4S owner - delivery is February - who purposely kept the 20' wheels - I'm hoping my results will mirror this!
I have recently been driving a 2023 Chevy Bolt EUV in Southern California - the car keeps some good statistics. Specifically - over the past 21,000 miles I've...
