Not yet tried with the Macan EV, but with my previous EV, charging a hot battery under heavy external temps (40C and more) was not a problem, it was very fast and noisy (because of the Clim and fans keeping the ideal temp).
Actually, it could be a problem when itās very cold, itās not when itās...
We should make a poll to see if the Macan has the 12v battery issue, beyond specific Macans.
So far so good for mine: 2 to 3 weeks staying on the parking lot, several times since november.
Mine is parked underground, I assume itās more efficient because there is no network incoming requests.
On...
Did you try to park underground, where there is no 4g/5g signal?
Close the door, leave the car alone for 5 minutes at a distance from the key, and reopen the car.
I assume the pcm will detect the network is not available, and maybe, it will no try to connect to the account.
Then, reset to...
No, this is not the way itās designed, youāre wrong.
Whatever the mode, when you brake, under normal conditions, the car is supposed to use regen to brake, and IF itās not enough to decelerate, it uses the (real) brakes On top of the regen.
Maybe youāre trying to troll me. In that case, itās a...
@cottony
So I did some tests today. Short answer: coasting mode is a crappy mode, at least on my Turbo.
Iāve configured driver screen with the regen meter, and Iāve displayed on the central screen the energy animation with the car/battery/motors to monitor what happened.
1. Regen meter and...
Yves and I have this behavior with our Macans in ideal conditions for working regen:
mode regen on: we release the speed pedal, the regen indicator goes to the left in green and shows little to medium regen. Almost always.
mode coasting on: we release the speed pedal, we push a little the...
Like 2 times per minute when driving at 20 mph in the dry city? And as Yves stated, what about the discrepancy between coasting and regen modes?
Thatās a bug, not a feature.
Because of the strange behavior Iāve had in coasting mode (it sometimes uses brakes instead of the regen for no apparent reason ), coasting can lose a lot of opportunities to regen, it tends to be bad no matter the scenario.
Without that bug, 1.daily and 3.highway without traffic jam are better...
I know, thanks ?
Thatās why Iāve said āstrangeā. Try coasting in town, and observe the regen meter on the driver screen or on the HUD: even under ideal circumstances (temperature, dry etc), for no apparent reason, the car will not regen when you brake a bit (or more) - no green on the regen...
I havenāt this behavior on my Turbo: in Normal drive mode, Iāve set the chassis level manually in Low1.
Assuming I donāt change the driving mode, each time I start the car, the chassis level is on Low1.
Maybe Iām mistaken, I will take a look.
Yes, itās annoying in coasting: you brake and no regeneration at all. So you immediately release the brakes, not more than 0.5s, and you re-brake, and this time, there is regeneration instead of real brakesā¦
Activation of the regeneration instead of the brakes is not systematic on the first try...
