Over the past month, I've developed a flexing/popping noise from the drivers' side B-Pillar when the car is slowing to a stop or accelerating. Of course the dealer said it's normal. However, the passenger side doesn't do it and it just started a month ago. It's more annoying (ok, incredibly annoying) since I notice every squeak and rattle. Has anyone else experienced this? Thinking of trying another dealer for repair unless anyone has some self-help ideas.

When I bought the car I had bad rattles coming from between the door panel and the metal part of the door. Again, said dealer said it was normal. Ended up shoving some rubber squeegee in both sides which has solved the issue.

Had this too, for me it was where the top of the b pillar comes into contact with the roof. If you push some acoustic foam into the gap it mostly fixes it, but I took it into dealer to get this and a couple other rattles fixed. Seems to be fine so far.

Having exactly the same issue. @ck123 I'm going to check if that is the solution.

@ck123, that was the issue! I showed some paper where the B-pillar meets the roof and the rattle is gone! Next step is emailing the dealer where the foreman said it's normal and ask if this is how a $100k car should look. Good times!

That’s crazy… Can’t wait to hear what the foreman says :) I had an issue with the car pulling to the left a bit. Dealer said must be the camber in the road. I asked them to check the tire air pressure and it was 4lbs light! Once properly filled it no longer pulled. Sheesh!

They said "If you would like I can schedule another appointment to try and come up with a better solution for you." Not sure if I want them in messing around (and potentially causing another rattle). Guess it's time to finally fill out that survey they keep asking for!

Surprised you didn't get a warning that the tyre pressure is low. Checking “Vehicle Details” on the phone app also shows if the pressure is lower than recommended.

From another thread, one of the bulletins available for the Macan EV is this one for b-pillar rattles - https://dot.report/bulletins/11025104

There is a process for the dealer to follow to get this paid for under warranty (and fix the problem for you!). Most of this paperwork seems to be Porsche head office trying to find the places to fix in manufacturing.

Good point. Not sure if the tolerance for a warning light is 4Lbs or if I can specify? I’m actually the one that looked at the tire pressure in the left tube and showed the service unit advisor. Point being, it’s a shame the first response from dealers about a customer concerns is “it’s normal.”
