Hi.
I've got 2 time the same issue with driver seat memory going fuzzy
I've registered 2 driver profiles, having 1 key = 1 profile of course, & with wheel, seats & air conditionning settings totally differents.
So far, so good, for a couple of months
Then suddenly : no more memory working (seats, airco, ...)
I open with my key : seat not moving. I force using the memory button on the door.
then my wife opens with her key : same issue, same workaround
then again back... and so for weeks

It was solved somehow (they didn't how) at the Porsche center, with a software update

Then 1 month later : again

Finally : I identified that when my wife opens the door with her key : the driver profile loaded is still mine !
So it turns out that on the same profile (mine in this case), we were changing the profile-attached seat position all the time, by pressing the memory button

How did this happen (not loading the correct driver profile attached to the key) ?
I suspect by opening the passenger door FIRST (before driver door)
I noticed that when my son was doing "Dad, I go & wait you in the car", taking my key, going on passenger seat.
And the car was latest driven by my wife (with her profile at that moment)

I suspect that when the passenger door is opened before driver door, that the "load key-attached user profile" procedure is not started.
and then the troubles begins.

Happens all the time for me such that I only use one user profile for both keys now. It's a lottery as to which user profile is loaded when unlocking with either key - I now just press the seat memory button before entering the car. Reported to porsche dealer but get a shrug and hope that an update fixes it, but doesn't.

It's a joke, the last car I had with profiles and seat memory was a BMW which worked flawlessly.

Exactly the same for me: never hard issue for 5 teams with my x5. I think Porsche is not at the top about IT things. Just see how much Time it takes to load apps on screen on each driver switch (and same apps on both!!)

i only have 1 user profile...and i've only been using 1 key since i got the car.... and it's much more rare now...but a few months back, it would not put the steering back into the right position.
it would lift it up, and then never bring it back down. i'd have to manually return the steering wheel and then save the setting again

The issue is that Porsche tried to be smart here.
Instead of doing it like BMW, where you have to ASSIGN a profile to a key in the infotainment, Porsche decided to automatically link profiles.
That means it loads whatever profile was LAST USED with a particular key. Especially if you carry two keys sometimes it gets confused.

This is rocket science to Porsche. They can make cars but fail miserably in software. It always gets confused with our keys and profiles.

Our Tesla works so much better in that regard.
