Well I finally got my cameras installed.

Went with Viofo a329. I had the pre-wiring also for the Porsche cameras. I was able to, with some modification, use the video feed wire to connect to the rear camera. It only needs this cable and not a power source much like the Blackvue.

The fuse locations were clutch as were the trim instructions. Thanks again @Degenatron

The only casualty was one of the fastening clamps on the roofliner. Hopefully that is a piece that can be replaced easily.

I've attached the image of the piece. Seems like there is a better way to remove these that doesn't involve pulling down.

The back was certainly a bit of work versus doing this on a pre-wired Cayenne (only removing one piece of trim). This involved the four panels a torx screw and a 12-point m8 screw (got a bit at O'reilly for this).
I am trying to install the same system having trouble. Can we discuss?

Hi @Joder I am doing the same install w Viofo A329S and Porsche prewire. Can you elaborate on how you did it? I just ordered the adapter for the power, and installed the 10 and 5 amp fuses. How did you connect the rear camera wire? Did you leave the voltage switch in place? did you stuff all the wires into the upper console? or shorten them?

Thanks
My car was pre-wired for the Porsche dash cam. I was able to use the Viofo cable. Basically cut it in half or whatever in terms of desired lengths. I then terminated it as others have mentioned. with the appropriate connectors that go into the pre-wire porsche connectors. I messed with the voltage switch a bit, however, it doesn't seem to stay on even at the lowest voltage shut-off level.

Those are the connectors. I'll have to find where someone explained the splicing, etc. Some buy a tool to complete the crimp. I just did it carefully with some pliers. It does take a bit of handiness.

I think I have the coax cables figured out.

I got the power adapter. But there is no power coming through the overhead console.

I added a fuse in the front trunk.

I added a fuse in the passenger foot well.

Do I need a software update or something?
