I've just had another case where I tried to use a charger recommended by the navigation/app, only to discover it couldn't be activated with the Porsche Charging Service (authorization error after tapping the RFID card).

I reported it to Porsche and learned that some charging networks shown in the system are in fact not available for PCS users. Porsche told me I should filter out chargers not in the Porsche Charging Service network but as far as I can see, there’s no actual way to do that.

After my complaint, I noticed that the chargers I flagged were removed from the app so I guess it's an issue after all.

Perhaps it's country-specific (the charging network in question was a polish ORLEN network) but anyway it shows that in case of EV, the concept of SDV is something you have to nail to make the experience OK and this is something Porsche is not good at.

I got a better one for you. I've been taken to a few stations throughout my travels that do not exist yet! Greece and Croatia are notorious.

Network operators are eager to get traffic their way at all cost, even if it means publishing stations a few weeks ahead of time.

For your specific case, I keep cards from Ionity (with subscription), Bump and Chargemap handy. Have not seen a station that does not work with one of these 3 (West of Croatia).

If you go eastward of Slovenia, then Charge&GO, Fines Charging.

To make things simpler I add the same RFID card in multiple operators (Bump & Fines is one example). In reality I have 3 cards.

Always good to have a plan B.
