What are the rates for the Tesla chargers? Is it cheaper than EA? it looks to be a lot slower (I usually get anywhere from 150kW-270kW between 10-80%). I still have my free EA til Oct. but still aint gonna be rushing to give Elon any more money unless I absolutely have to.

Covers all the information on 400kW chargers. Macan will be limited to 135kW.

Well, speaking for myself, I just wanted to assure myself that it works, that I understood how to make it work, and that therefore it will likely be there for me when I actually really need it.

I appreciate people trying it to confirm it’s working so that others who may need it don’t have to worry about what they will experience when they get there. I have certainly charged in places when I didn’t need to just out of curiosity and for my own peace of mind.

I appreciate it as well. And I’m sorry if it sounded like I was being critical. I may just have a poor sense of humor, finding it mildly amusing that everyone seems to be at 70% already. Like “come on, isn’t there anyone who can give it a good run? Do we all keep our cars charged?”.

I do still think that while knowing it works at all is nice, it is not as useful as knowing it works well. Let’s see someone max it out. I’m sure it does work well but the 400/800v thing will make a difference.

According to Porsche the Macan will charge a maximum of 135KW on a 400v charger.

That's the membership discount price too (that non-Tesla owners can also get by paying the $11.99/mo subscription). In effect, Tesla owners get lifetime membership included when buying a Tesla. (It's not technically a subscription for them, just built-in, but it works the same way.)

I noticed last night that plugshare notes in the charger description those chargers compatible with partner cars with an adapter and those that are tesla only . You may see several unsuccessful attempts at tesla only chargers, but otherwise successful.

I happened to notice several Rivian system chargers that are compatible with any brand.

As a courtesy, I’ve cut out email details of sender but will attach the text of the Porsche PCNA Notice he received today and sent me when I ask if I had to stop by to sign up for a waiting list. To which he said no.
