I hope you are not a lawyer. Legally my statement is sound and Porsche accepted. Simple as that.
you are talking about your first car? i am talking about your new car.

You wrote: " Ok, I think I am taking the lead. First was lemon and handed back. 5 days ownership of new Macan, noise while going over speed bumps and 2 red circles of death so far. " this is no lemon.

Sorry being harsh, not in a good mood. Statement was for both. Car not able to start on 2 occasions within first 5 days with no fault identified is a major problem for me. Yes, faults resolved after a couple of minutes (there is no timer so ranges from 5-30 min) but think about it, would you buy a new car if you were told that it wouldn't start occasionally and you just had to wait for up to 30 min? As for noise over speed bump, not even sure if normal or not.

Don't get me wrong, I love the car and may give it a third try. Just not going down the rabbit hole again of trying to fix something with no clear identified fault. Have been there before.

i have been thinking and may be this helps: do not "switch off" the car. it is enough to put it in park. when you switch off and than on you have to give the car the time to activate all its systems. if you put it in drive to fast you will get all sorts of errors. the car is ready when the PCM is full on.

As they say, 54th try is the charm. Right?

jokes aside, I’ve had my Macan 4 loaner for 3 months without basically a single error. So these faults shouldn’t occur at all let alone 2-3 times.

My dealer said something that I kept in my mind: “You might be one that actually checked for the issues and didn’t ignore them, which might be the reason not many people are experiencing these issues on paper”.

I mean, is it normal to actually have a car due to error messages not being able to start at all? Not really, doesn’t matter if it’s once or twice.

That's what I usually do. And with faults, car welcomed me with the red circle of death opening while opening the door.

I am not sure how Macan works yet, but from past experience with GLE, system is much more advanced and clever. I learned this the hard way, as 12v battery was drained. Car notices your presence and starts up system before you get in. If you have your keys on you or didn't lock your car, don't do work around your car.

By the way, do you have the additional double sound while going over speed bumps?

Thanks and agree. Buy the way, do you have air suspension on loaner? And if yes, do you have the double sound while going over speed bumps?

That's how I remember it as well. Not the additional 2 sounds on top of speed bump which only occur when I break beforehand. I have 10+ speed bumps on my regular school run and quite sensitive in regards to this as my GLE developed rather loud suspension noise.

Yes, I do have air suspension and to be quite blunt I’ve never heard a beep. Neither have I heard anything on my own car which also has it.

Safety issues such as e-sounds not working should be reported to your country’s product safety regulator. Porsche AG takes more notice of them than customers.

I will take this into consideration, definitely.

Thank you. Will find out more today. I like to think my case is escalated. Porsche should be quite embarrassed but I am just a Macan customer.

Does it shut down when your driving or is it when you start the car? You can seriously get hurt if it is like what happened in my car.
