I have an interesting observation regarding the “big” update. I had it done beginning of the year after a workshop visit.

Now this week I had to bring the car again to fix some GPS issues. They said they reset some controllers but did not mention any updates. Now suddenly my speed limit chime has a different sound (a much better one!).

So either there is a second update or the big one was nit properly applied. I did have 5G after the first one though.
I noticed the same exact thing after I did the major update. Chime much less loud and less annoying.

Finally had a chance to take the vehicle back in to fix the update. After a day with it, I was notified the following day that the HV Central Box needs to be replaced. It’s on order now and with a holiday on Monday, I’m looking at a least a week or week and half to get it back. Not sure what they did or followed the updated bulletin or not but here I am. Stuck me in the same gas Macan loaner that I had when I brought it in originally.

There seems to be small 'un documented' version updates that are newer than 28.13
I was having instrument cluster issues (blanking out) - and it seems that with 'proof' this happens, they are willing to update a number of systems

I had 28.13 installed, so the from version is what was installed as part of that, and the end version is the new version they installed - the latest 'might' be called 28.13 SQ4 - but they could not confirm at the dealer, if SQ4 is the latest version, I had SQ3 based on some documents I found online that had some published dates of the software lined up to when they did my upgrade.

Instrument Cluster Control Unit 4233 -> 4253
Cluster Display 0307 -> 0308
Infotainment Control Unit 4233 -> 4253
Gateway Control Module 0142 -> 0143
PCM 0250 -> 0260

There were other updates, but they only wrote down the ones that were relative to my issue for me as it was all recorded manually. Apparently, Porsche doesn't give out much documentation for this process and the ability to have a summary of the updates and changelog just doesn't exist I was told. This manual recording I got was the best they could do.

So far, I have no idea what's changed as the audio not playing issue is still there, and the instrument cluster issue only happened one time, so it seems very rare.

The onboard charger software doesn't have any available updates to fix those issues; they had to roll back by software for that after this last upgrade too.

Also mine instrument cluster blanked out 5s once after the big update. I did not manage to take a picture in that short time. The HUD blanked out as well.

I'm still working on the 'stereo' not working bug, XM/FM/AM/Bluetooth audio all stop working at random, while voice control, parking sensors, Bluetooth cell connections all continue to work; I managed to bring it into the dealer in this condition, and the download the logs, only to see not a single error in the logs. This seems typical for this Macan system.

The recorded the car in this condition on video, with their scanner plugged in. The tech thinks the PCM needs to be replaced, and is hoping Porsche approves that repair, and he is correct. But there is zero supporting evidence to help him getting it approved so far, other than a video showing the condition. Which I have myself recorded and provided on two other occasions already.

So Many issues, but seems like this is not common, as there is hardly anyone still complaining about stuff on the forum... these days (Comparatively anyway).
