Vodafone tracker renewal cost

Hi, my renewal notice from Vodafone has arrived and it’s more than I expected at £245 and more than the web suggests. Is this because it has special Porsche features or is just a special Porsche price?

Never reached that stage, but if I recall correctly I paid short of 200 GBP for first year. Don’t think Porsche has anything to do with it.

I paid for 3 years up front as it worked out cheaper than year on year a beat any inflationary hikes. It definitely wasn’t £750 (going off three years at £250 a year). It was all sorted directly with Vodafone - Porsche had nothing to do with the au script ion side of things.

I abandoned it as it is not required for insurance purposes (Admiral).

Me too - there was no insurance requirement from any of the insurers that I got quotes from via GoCompare.

The car contains a GPS and uplink of location anyway and you can set alerts if it leaves defined locations (I have home set up as a location).

Clever car thief's these days use phone signal blockers so Vodafone location tracking would likely be just as blocked as the Porsche location tracker. And my hidden Airtag probably isn't going to be much use either.

Genuinely interested in what the value add of the Vodfone service is?
