UK - EV Discount up to £ 3,750 but only cars up to £ 37k

I see the UK is to provide a 10% discount on new EV’s. But only on cars up to £ 37k, so they will be subsidising predominately Chinese imports rather than European ‘prestige ‘ manufacturers. Still, it won’t damage our residuals or the majority of new EV’s as they are above £ 37,000. So now £ 40k cars will be artificially more expensive and also attract the £ 2k ‘luxury car tax’.
