Tilting passenger-side mirror when reversing.

Where do you select whether the mirror tilts when reversing or not? I've owned the car for almost six months now, and I still don't understand the logic or the menu where you choose whether you want the mirror to tilt or not .

What’s also extremely annoying is that when switching from reverse to drive, the mirror does tilt back up, but not to the selected driver memory position. It only corrects itself once you press the memory button on the door, such as no.1, while driving. The car received a major software update, but this issue wasn’t fixed.

For example, in VW and Audi cars from the same group, you simply select either the driver’s side or passenger-side mirror, which determines whether the mirror tilts or not.

Why did even this simplest function in the world have to be made so complicated?

it is not complicated. esp. of one reads the manual. if it doesn’t function like described in the manual something is wrong.

I have the same problem. Reset everything and it worked for about a week. Now when I go from R to D, the mirror doesn't move back up. I do enjoy this car, but these little gremlins are starting to drive me nuts.

I reset the settings and redid everything according to the manual. It seems to be working now. However, I still don't understand where to enable or disable the mirror tilting — right now the mirror always tilts.

hi. I had the same issue. Finally decided to go to the dealer to do software upgrade. I also had issue with seat memory. Was fine until 1 day, it decides to switch seat settings between the 2 keys, while the user profile is correct on dashboard main screen. and it was event without having the other key in the car (km far away !)
Was solved after a kind of reset at dealer, was fine for 1 month and now again since 2 days

It is a doddle but poorly documented in the simulator (absent).

Go Settings --> Vehicle and then scroll to Light and Visibility --> Reversing

To store the position press one of the memory buttons (use the one you have already set) whilst in reverse and the mirror tilted to desired position - this should address the misalignment.

Only the passenger side can be auto tilted for reversing - same as all other Porsches - you can of course programme a memory button to do both.

Maybe because the screen showed by @W1NGE it's not the Macan one... and there's no option to turn on or off for this feature...

Yeah, same here — there's no menu where you can choose the mirror tilt setting. Ours is a Macan EU model. Either way, that adjustment is way too complicated. It reminds me of the Taycan’s 'smart' air vent controls — also only accessible through the touchscreen

How to Tilt the mirror glass downwards

• Ready for operation

Select driving mode R.

The indicator light for button B (Fig. 1) for adjusting the passenger side exterior mirror lights up.

Adjust the position of the lowered mirror glass individually

• Drive mode R engaged

Move the exterior mirror glass to the desired position by pressing the adjustment button C (Fig. 1).

Permanently deactivating the parking aid

• Drive mode set to R
• Passenger-side mirror glass swiveled down

Press the adjustment button C to adjust the exterior mirror glass to normal position while in "R", save to personal settings.
