hehe of course they dont - guess its a stock answer to avoid doing anything about it at the service centre - not gonna argue tho need the car back mid week latest and they have a long list of other issues. sigh
I think you missed the original statement of the problem.
This isn't a leak, it happens when you open the trunk to access it while it is raining. More water than is reasonable ends up on the inside of the car, and isn't channeled away to harmlessly fall to the ground.
It makes Costco runs only viable in the dry, which for the Seattle area, becomes problematic from now until next May. The UK is more rainy, but has fewer Costcos, so it's about the same annoyance level.
yep agree. i get this just when rains and i need to open rear hatch while its raining. - water goes al over the cargo area. someone mentioned above maybe the auto liftspoiler might be trapping water while at rest and then no drain designed in so water got no where else to go! i might try manually opening spoiler from pcm next time moment arises if i remember. see if that affects the scenario! yikes beta testing in the moment for porsche engineering team. sigh
Responding to an old thread - I just happened to see it.
I previously had this exact same issue when it rained - opening up the rear hatch would dump water into the luggage/load space. I was able fortunately to resolve the issue by adjusting the height that the rear hatch opens. I adjusted it so the hatch doesn't open all the way. This fortunately resolved the issue for my Macan 4 - worth a try for owners still experiencing the issue.
