Redoing recent post as most of message got removed
Have 2024 Level 4. Live in temperate Pacific Northwest. Driving mix of city and freeway. Number of miles getting per charge appears to have dropped considerably. For example most recent charge to 80% showed estimated range of 280 miles. At 30% had only driven 125 miles and showing 110 miles left. Even if got 110 that would equate to 235 for 80% and since significant difference between estimated and actual suspect 200 actually miles for 80% charge. What are others experiencing

I'd check out the "What's your estimated range with 100% SoC?" post.

No range calculator is perfect which is why you'll see it referenced as the "guess-o-meter". It's something you get a feel for over time...but if you live in a climate that varies from season to season, you'll have to adjust your expectations accordingly. Now that it's getting colder, I'm no longer seeing the big juicy ranges that I saw three months ago.

We just did our first freezing temp road trip leg in our Macan RWD (315 EPA). Took 95% of the battery to go 211 miles (222 range). Temps were 25F-35F.

In our Mach-E, it usually had to get below 20F for range to drop off that much. I was a bit surprised since 25F-35F isn't super cold. I did preheat the cabin so that probably cost an extra 5-6 miles, but still.

200 miles is a reasonable usable range to plan for on a car that is rated 300-350.

Wind is one of the biggest variables and even something like 10mph headwind may not be noticeable but can eat a good chunk of your efficiency at highway speeds.

Even when we have EVs that can do 500 miles they’re going to have good days and bad days if everything isn’t absolutely ideal. I realized this when I went from a 200 mile e-tron to a 330 mile iX and it didn’t change my winter trips really at all.

I’ve learned to live with it and I’m totally fine stopping every three hours. Having the car charge fast is a bigger advantage than range past a point. A quick stop every three hours is actually nice so long as I’m not sitting 40 minutes each time.

Yes this is so true. I’m in a very moderate area temperature-wise (50F-75F) and I am still getting way less range than my ā€œguess-o-meterā€. When I was using the A/C, that would remove about 20% of the range. Going up any hills does that too.
I used to get so excited to see 300 miles listed on a 85% charge, but it’s true that that usually REALLY means 250!

Like someone said earlier, it just means you have to plan to stop every 3-4 hours on a long trip. Still love my car!

Btw, there is a brand new software update from the Porsche dealers.
Getting it right now. 😊
