Hi all!!!
I’m close to getting my car, but I’m getting more and more nervous.

I wanted to ask if you could tell me how long it took in your case from when the car was built to when it was delivered to you.

I know timelines vary a lot, it’s not the same a delivery to the US, where it has to go by ship, than in Europe where it’s just truck distribution. In my case the delivery is in Europe

I mention this because my car showed as completed on August 14th, and I still haven’t heard anything about it (contacted the dealership but they don't have other news), when I log into the app it still shows it’s in Leipzig, after a month .

I don’t know if that’s normal or not, so I wanted to hear about your experience. How long did it take to reach your country after it was produced, and how much time passed from when it arrived your city and was delivered to you?

Mine was built in the last week of March, traveled to Emden less than a week later, waited for a ship for 3 or 4 days, arrived in the UK two days later, was received at the dealer on the 17th April and delivered to me on the 29th April (could have been an earlier delivery but there were scheduling constraints for both me and the Sales Agent).

Mine was build around the same time, took delivery on Monday. My build time was about 7 days longer than expected otherwise milestones matched estimated schedule. Did you get your 3 build pictures?

My car was finished on December 16, 2024, and arrived at the dealership on December 29. Delivery was on January 8, 2025.

Mine was build around the same time, took delivery on Monday. My build time was about 7 days longer than expected otherwise milestones matched estimated schedule. Did you get your 3 build pictures?

Yes, I got the 3 pictures. In the app they have changed a couple of times the expected milestones dates.
But after a month of the build date I don't really know what is happening... Completely blind about it

Next picture would be random Porsche prepared for shipping. Do you have VIN number? If not, my best bet, yours is not entirely finished and paperwork not yet issued.

Yes I hace the VIN number since August 14tj. Also received 3 weeks ago an email to activate the mobile connection, and in text said that you will received your car in a couple of weeks… that is why I’m wondering why is taking so long.

I agree, that’s odd. You could connect your car via VIN on your App but car is in stealth mode so you don’t get location. Is yours going via Emden?

I remember that @dynamic7, also in the UK, picked up his Turbo only three months after ordering while I waited over six months. It could've been my choice of an unpopular colour or something else in my specs that dragged things out, but as you said delivery times can vary significantly.

Ah ok thanks. I was told the ‘received your dream’ was at the point of allocation not order. Maybe I misunderstood what the dealer was inferring.

I’ve been told 6 months for a 4S and they are suggesting mid Feb for delivery as it stands.

6 months seems likely, same for me. If you make changes before car config freezes, it may be pushed back. I changed interior colour back and forth which added 1-2 months but not sure if really related.

I’m undecided on whether or not to change exterior customer and wheel colour. Been attempting to keep spend under control (already at £22k on options) but imagine build will have to change for the MY26.

I ordered in March for delivery in June but pushed back to August build. After build, 2-4 weeks including paperwork, transfer to Emden, waiting to board ship, on seas for 1 day, customs and delivery for dealer (the last part is slow). Don't forget, there was also the summer holiday with part closure of Leipzig factory which wouldn't affect you. I had larger wheels before, now standard 4S. Look really nice but this mainly depend on exterior colour (I have Volcano, wouldn't chose on different colour). You can have a look at Porsche US for MY26. Lots of discussion about HUD and RWD. My take, RWD does not feel unnaturally and HUD is really nice with augmented features only showing for few seconds at a time.
