Porsche Dashcam

I purchased my Macan Turbo when it was 6 months old. The previous owner had the Porsche front and rear dashcam fitted.
When you start and stop the car i get a notification to tell me it has started or stopped recording.

Is it possible to have the cameras recording while the car is parked?

I had someone reverse into me the other day, and luckily i heard the bang and caught the driver.

It would be nice to have evidence on the camera.

Great thanks both, that worked well.

The parking mode is currently set to radar and shock.

I just noticed i also need to change the battery type from Pb Acid to LiFePo.

Interesting - i had the same one (Audi rebrand) on petrol car.

I opted for Blackvue one this time and have a backup battery unit to power when parked so it doesn't drain the 12v (I only use car occasionally). I've also got a sim card in the dashcam so can view remotely.

porsche original dash cam: no irregular draining. sim card of course.
