Porsche needs to update it's software for AA integration though. About a year ago (maybe 2 now) Google added a great feature to AA to show the arrival SOC%. But it takes a software update by the car manufacture to enable (since it needs access to the SOC% from the car). I was surprised and disappointed the Macan doesn't have it. It took me about a year for my Mach-E to finally get the update and was thrilled when I finally got it.

Has anyone EVER gotten a Macan OTA software update? Do they even exist? How do we know if the dealer has one for us?
PCM NAV updates by now surely?

Just got back from my latest 500 mile trip. This time I tried setting the charging destinations manually. Problem was that they conflicted with the charging settings of having 20% charge at destination. Therefore the charging planner discarded my intended destinations and replaced them with locations like the unopened Findlay Pilot Flying J. Not good.

The workaround was to directly set single destinations that corresponded with my manual plan. That worked fine and gave me charge at destination. The estimate was pessimistic by 5%. It estimated 7% and I ended up with 12%. I only risk a charge (at destination) this low for an EA station that I had already verified as reliable.

I would not have seen any of these problems if northern Ohio (below Toledo) and above Dayton had better options or I set the destination charge planner settings low enough. Based on the locations opening near future, I don’t think this will be a problem by next Summer.

Also, the planner is getting improved according to Porsche’s own press release. “The Porsche Charging Planner has also been enhanced, enabling charging stations and providers to be prioritised or avoided in a more targeted manner.”

I've used the built in charging planner for 700 mile trips (back and forth) with no issues including estimations. I completely agree though that setting intermediate stops at 20% makes good sense. Also, the trips were on the east coast where I suspect the infrastructure is more mature and built up .. so I can easily understand where you might have hit more snags with the planner.
