Some lovely specs in this thread, especially like the PTS Gulf Orange!
£7k extra a little pricey for me!

So taken the plunge on my first EV, decided for it to be an SUV with good performance, and leave my Saloon/Sports car to be petrol (for now).

Locked in a spec in September for a 4s, originally in Gentian Blue and Neodyme wheels (to match my GT4) but then found out about the GTS - so started speaking with my dealer to change and once specced, made sense to go with a Turbo instead.

So here we are in Feb 2026 & have a confirmed build slot for April and delivery in May.

Pretty much at the limit of what i budgeted per month.
In hindsight, could have done without the door handles painted but feels like it breaks it up nicely and relatively cheap option.

Didn't go with Rear Axle Steering so not sure how that will impact the drivability (do more motorway miles, than town driving)

Only thing that i think i would add if i got a chance - seat belts in Arctic Blue (but without knowing exactly what this Blue is like against Lugano - decided against.

Apparently no longer doing the 'Park Assist with 3d surround view' after Feb anymore & only either 'Remote Park Assist with 3d' or '2d surround view' - so opted for the 2d to save a bit of cost there.

Seems like the Lugano Blue is a lot darker than the configurator shows so quite excited by that.

Congratulations! Looks like a great spec. There is a lot of hate toward the passenger display but I find it useful. There are some videos of the 2026 Macan GTS in Lugano. It is a color that is not well represented in the configurator.

Thanks. The gold wheels were pretty much my 'must have', so was just about selecting a paint colour that I felt may go - definitely bold as I've only seen it on the config!

Oh nice, they gave me the option to either upgrade or degrade so didn't get so lucky - Porsche Reading.

The passenger display just felt like one of those options that if I didn't select, may have regretted or wished I added.

I am treating this build mainly as if it were my own, and I would want the best for myself, so please bear with me.

Passenger screen – This option is mainly used for the Asian and US markets. It’s usually something salespeople make you feel like you’re “missing out” on, but frankly, you’re not. I’m not familiar with most drives in the UK being long hauls like in the US or China, and unless this is something your family members or passengers will use constantly, the money is better spent on other options. I’ve used the passenger display on many loaners and it was fun for about 30 seconds, but day-to-day it was barely useful, especially since I’m not even sure you can use Bluetooth headphones with it yet.

Rear axle steering – This is a must-have option on any true sports car. It’s one of the reasons it’s so valuable on the 911, and since you’re going for the Turbo, this is something you would definitely miss if you skip it. It’s not only beneficial for city driving, but also for higher stability in curves and at higher speeds overall. It gives the car a true sports-car feeling that you simply won’t get without it. Getting the Turbo without it is, in my opinion, almost like speccing the car without a steering wheel. I’ve had plenty of arguments with different Porsche salespeople about why they don’t suggest or push it more, yet they push passenger screens and other “gimmicks.” They never give me a straight answer, but they always agree on the positive aspects of rear-wheel steering. Check most Turbos on the lot, they’re usually specced with it.

Heated windscreen – I had this option on a Cayenne E-Hybrid and never chose it on my Macan, and there was literally no difference at all, at least none that I noticed. You’ll get essentially the same function just by using the app to start the climate control or even by unlocking the car with the key fob, as the Macan will automatically begin defrosting. I’ve even heard some worrying stories that the heated windscreen adds components that can be prone to breaking within the glass itself, potentially causing more issues than benefits.

Thermally insulated windows – I’ve tried Taycans, Macans, and Cayennes without this option, and since you’re going with 22" wheels, I highly recommend at least getting it for the front windows. The difference is noticeable, you can even hear it in the configurator demos. I had it on my Macan, and when I later sat in a car without it, it felt like I was in a vacuum cleaner. Keep in mind, I’m not particularly sensitive to sound, but this really helps on longer drives, and I’d strongly suggest checking the difference yourself if you can.

I really appreciate the insight into your experiences, helps to understand what to expect.

Thanks for the information on the Rear Axle Steering - was certainly an option I was unsure how it would impact the drive, will try get to the dealership later today and test drive.

But your opinion, is what I would want from the car, whilst an SUV I would want that sporty capability in the corners.

In all honesty, never gave the Thermal Windows a thought, but again appreciate that information as sounds like it makes a big difference to the overall driving experience.
