Local dealer told me yesterday that nearly all of this years Macan EV allocation for them is sold, so if I didn't commit to the one remaining soon, he'd would need to negotiate with other dealers to try to secure one. Now, he has been really straight with me so far, but honestly, I'm smelling bullshit on this. It's only Feb, it's an expensive EV proposition, depreciation likely to be dreadful, finance rate is 9.4%. Whatever way you look at it, you have to really want your Porsche for this to work, and, unfortunately, I'm sold on the idea and do actually want to be an early-ish adopter
! However, I will just move on if I don't feel good about it.
Interestingly, the retail sales manager emailed me last night asking if there was anything he could do to help move things along, which made me think they are scratching for business / pushing every bona fide lead, which is fine, but why the "only one left tactic" I wonder.
However, is this just a case that I need to shop around, or will I likely run into availability issues everywhere? I see on the Porsche stock website, there are 12x GTS, 5x 4s, 3x Turbo, all readily available.
In summary, is Macan EV selling really well in UK?
