Just completed a trip from London through France and the Swiss Alps to Italy (750miles). So far so good….

performance and drive as expected from The Porsche - a dream and nothing to fault

Rapid charges along the route were great. Only issue was getting cards accepted at charge points on a Sunday afternoon in France ! But after a few attempts all sorted. Swiss service stations and charge points are an envy of all countries.

Range in the heat (35degs) was good, with the AC on and the Bernina pass with energy recouping mode on returned use of just 1 kw over a 50 mile drive up and down the Alps (over 2300m altitude) !

Amazing drive and a superb car. I just hope the drive back to UK is as good.

Awesome! Did you drive back yet? How has the driving been in Italy? What about city driving and parking?

Nice! Any stats to share? How many charge stops / average consumption / average speed?

We undertook a similar trip in June. Down through the UK to the Eurotunnel, then through France to the Alsace region and on through Switzerland into the Tyrol where we stopped for a week. We then drove through the Dolomites (the high point being the Passo Pordoi, 2200m above sea level) to Lake Garda and then down to Tuscany for a further week. It was then a quick blast home through the St Gotthard tunnel and eastern France. Total journey distance was 2800 miles with an average consumption of 3.4 mi. per kWh. On the motorways I was running at 70 mph; on the ordinary roads I would run at the speed limit. Car was faultless. Only (very small) hassle was a couple of Tesla superchargers that wouldn’t engage properly – at which point we moved on to Plan B. We only used two apps for charging – the Porsche app and the Tesla app. The Porsche app gave very good coverage, not just of the Ionity chargers but also of multiple chargers in small villages in France and Austria – the only challenge sometimes was to find them as they could be rather hidden! In Italy we were staying somewhere that had a dedicated socket on which I used an EVSE to charge. Hope that’s of some help.
