Since there are only two model years of Macan out there, I'm curious what sort of depreciation lease companies are projecting.

If you lease a new Macan, and you know your expected depreciation amount, can you post the estimated depreciation value here along with the length of your lease?

Or if you've seen a reliable depreciation curve for any of the EV Macan models, can you drop an image or a link here to the source?

I know Taycans lose a lot of value to depreciation, and I'm curious if companies are estimating similar losses for Macan or not quite as much.

I’m seeing a 55% residual value after 39 months from PFS, which makes depreciation 45%. Not great…

55% is actually surprisingly good, in the range of average depreciation for a 3 year lease. Maybe not for Porsches, I don’t know, but that’s like a normal X3 residual. Maybe if you’re lucky and a model has a smoking residual you’ll be over 60%.

I would have thought it would be under 50 with how people complain about EV residuals.

Interesting. Mine is a 4S too and was leased mid-March. My lease doc did not have a residual %, just the $ amount. I computed residual value / gross cap cost to get the %. What could account for the difference between our numbers?

My Feb 2025 Porsche lease has a $69150 residual at twelve months, on a $97,500 car (15k miles). About 71%

Could possibly be mileage difference? or maybe just options on the vehicle?

I had actually talked to couple of dealers in March and at the time, residual was set at 56% for the 4S (39/10k). Every month the residual is revised by PFS!

Also, residual is set at MSRP and not at gross cap cost, and is by trim rather than options.

For fun, I asked ChatGPT Deep Research to compile all recent Macan EV lease offers from about 20 different Porsche dealers, and work in 3 year depreciation estimates from trusted sources like Edmunds, KBB, JD Power etc.

I asked it to summarize its findings in a table. Here's what it came up with.

Seems in line with what folks here are posting.

Interesting.
Except one person out of those folks. When I was getting base Macan, I remember @W1NGE was arguing Turbo will suffer the least depreciation, and base RWD the worst. But it seems the opposite to what he thought. Here, RWD and Macan 4 are almost same.
Anyway, people are not buying these Macans based upon depreciation, as that's not the prime reason. Its what they like to have, as all are great trims.

100% agree on the point about folks not caring about depreciation. I don't care how much value it loses when I (hopefully) get one. It's an amazing vehicle. I only care about depreciation because it pushes the car into my price range ?

Based on the residual values after 3 years of about 50%, that would put a nicely specked $90k 4S at around $45k give or take. That's my sweet spot.

Challenge will be finding a 3-year old model that isn't "overly loved" (or specked with color combinations I just can't do ?)
