Hi all, I took delivery of my second Macan 4s this Monday (first Macan rejected in March - Lemon law). By now I already had 2 circles of death (Drive system control fault) within 5 days after taking new delivery.
So why do I reach out to the forum if I have 2 major incidents already and can reject the car? Well, 1st I love the car and 2nd the Drive system control failures may be related to faulty charger (I am an optimist). If front suspension is normal I will considering taking the risk as fault didn't reoccur so far.
And thats where I would need your help:
I noticed an additional low frequency double sound at short interval while going over speed bumps. I believe this was not present in my previous Macan but this is now 6 months ago. This only happens if I break directly in front of speed bump. This is regardless of suspension setting, I have now RWD as well but rear suspension sounds fine.
In summary, is it normal to have 3 sounds while going over speed bump when breaking? First obviously is tyre contact and suspension while hitting speed bump, but 2nd and 3rd (short interval) are kind of weird. Sounds kind of hydraulic (I know it's air suspension!).
There is a separate thread about front suspension cracking but I am not entirely sure if this is the same sound others describe. Before Drive system control faults, I tried to make myself believe it's part of anti-dive, or as Porsche phrases it "It's part of the Porsche driving experience"
Many, many Thanks.
