Well, that settles it:
https://static.nhtsa.gov/odi/tsbs/2026/MC-11028576-0001.pdf

"Noises that occur due to the design of the anti-dive function in uneven roads or overriding obstacles, such as road edges, speed bumps, can be interpreted incorrectly as a component defect"

"(...) inform the customer that the noises are design-related and caused by the anti-dive function and do not constitute a defect."

So basically this is an issue but if you hear this you are sh** out of luck. Good one.

This was exactly my problem. We test drove a few Macan and only Macan RWD had no such behaviour. Must have been without PASM according to document. Wonder if this is now fixed for MY26 or even worse for GTS? Standard front lip is way too low for SUV and speed bumps in my area are way too high (anti car councils). Love driving my wife's mini but current road conditions in my area kind of making purchase of SUV mandatory due to health and saftey concerns.

A Macan with air suspension would help in this scenario as it comes with Smart Lift which you program to auto lift the car when traversing speed bumps etc.

Nope - cracking aside (should it exist) solves the concern of catching the front diffuser .

I had various locations stored in my Taycan for the same purpose and worked really well.

It exists, not a big problem unless you face 10 plus speed bumps in short succession on your street ;-). Never had a problem with mine (off-road one) or on loaners but when I see some parking bays at shopping centres it’s really easy to damage front lip. An SUV is an SUV, if you want a sports car buy a 911 like you did.

Smart Lift is your friend and as long as you program say the first and last and keep within the speed threshold you don't need to store all locations as the height will be maintained.

Of the 2 loaners I had (4S and Turbo) neither appeared to have this issue but then I'm the guy who takes his time over speed bumps to the annoyance of others.

I have one (with air suspension) and it does not help at all.
It's not only driving over bumps but in general breaking over road imperfections.

I think this shows this bulletin is BS. It's not "by design" as it does not affect all cars. I've driven loaners with PASM and air suspension without this issue.

All and all this is very disappointing.

Also this should be a warning for buyers - had I known this I would not buy this car.
