Did the software update make the collision warning even more trigger happy?

I had a software update applied at service two weeks ago, and now it seems like the collision warning (red circle on the HUD) has a hair trigger.
As soon as some vehicle in front of me slows even a little, it shoves up the warning in my face, even if I'm far behind and already have my foot on the brake.

Did anyone else see this? Did this update change it?

My previous car had a setting where I could set how sensitive this warning would be, and it was pretty good at the lowest sensitivity. However, I can't find anything like that in the Macan MMI.
Is there anything I can do here? Can the service center pick a different sensitivity with their coding tool if I can't do it?

Now that you say it, yes. I have noticed that it goes off all the time but didn't correlate it to the update until you mentioned it. I'm going to ask my service agent about it. Thanks for calling to my attention.

You’re lucky - for a lot of us it’s always been like that! The latest software update was meant to have resolved it, but it’s no better. Unfortunately it may have set a poor baseline for everyone, including those who perhaps weren’t experiencing any issues in the first place.

Yesterday I had an alarm when there wasn't even a car in front of me.

And then a little later I got pretty close pretty quickly and it did nothing at all.

Maybe they have a problem in some part of the system, but they're trying to fix it by tuning some value in another part, and it just gets worse ...

I may have to turn this warning indicator off.
