I read that apple maps can now communicate with the Macan to automatically add charging stops but I can’t seen to figure out how to make that linkage in the myPorsche app

Last I checked that feature was only available in the Taycan.

I think it didn’t depend on car software either. It was something like Porsche app integration with Apple Maps. So as long as your car is talking to the Porsche servers and you have the Porsche app installed, Apple Maps can be aware of your SoC, etc through your phone.

I think the integration was only with the Taycan. The feature was not very accurate. There is no option for the feature with my Macan. In CarPlay, if I open the Porsche app, I get a message that says it is unavailable with the Macan. . .

yup didn’t notice Taycan only - looks like from 21+ - why wouldn’t they support this on their newest platform?? you can manually search and I can see the range on the dash. Maybe I can help by providing the software:

if(apple maps routing)
check range
search for charging station < range
