Since the latest update and after 3 months at the dealership, my car has gone crazy with the SoC...
in less than 3 days, when idling in underground parking at 14C, 9% has disappeared! I regret my 1% loss per day...
Another thing very strange: 250m to reach the end of my trip, SoC at 52%, but...
Yes, you should try. To me, the car when idling, is able to wake several times a day. I suspect because of the dashcam, the car takes longer to go in sleep mode...
to me, it's a new behavior of the car due to to some firmware updates: for the whole 10 months of ownership, when idling, my fitcamx...
You're right, actually Porsche denies the right to use third party accessories.
It's a big surprise to me that we are authorized to plug third party usb accessories in the car without losing the warranty!
I can't imagine the risk for people who lower the car, change some parts including wheels.
To people with 1% idle consumption:
do you have dashcam or anything that is connected to your car, through USB, rain sensor wire or other powered source that is supposed to be off when the car is sleeping?
Another weird behavior, so now:
- majority of the cars : 0% change, no matter idle time, 1 or 10+ days,
- 20% (almost?) of the cars were in the first category, but for no apparent reason, they have fallen in the category of 1% loss per day, almost consistently.
- Others: it depends and varies...
I agree, the App SoC is not reliable, even if some people on this forum don't like this fact...
The app states that it has updated data, but for sure, it does't mean the data related to SoC have been updated with the latest incar value... It's probably one of the many problems of the server side...
And my loaner Macan (which is problem free) loses 0% per week in the same conditions as my Turbo, which loses 1% per day since the problem has appeared.
(underground parking, no 4g/5g connectivity, stable temperature)
30kWh per month for 0 km/miles, I can't imagine it's "within specs" 😂
My car is at the dealership since 3rd of November, first for the red circle of death, and since 12/12, when they've said they've solved the red circles (which it remains to be confirmed), I've refused to take back the car because of the over consumption, 1% per day meaning 40 watts consumption...
You are so adamant, that now, you even insinuate that my problems and others's are not true.
Come on... Several people have issues, more or less severe, why are you unable to accept the facts, there's no consequence for you.
14 cars actually have the 1% problem.
By the way, the readings...
No !
Even when the reading states updated 8 hours ago, it could be wrong. First hand behavior with my car.
To be sure, you MUST read the SoC in the car, it's the only reliable (for what it means with the SoC of the Macan) way to check the status of the car.
'That's @Fly4ever tried to explain...
The main reason is the Porsche will... and probably on the top of that some technical missteps when they designed the hardware of the Macan (The update of the electronic modules is PITA for dealerships with old procedures such as the need to connect the 12v battery to a charger, even though I'm...
As someone (@Yves ?) stated, the IX seems more efficient than the Macan EV.
If range is a concern, check that.
If there is no problem for you to buy a car that will not have any software improvements for years because Porsche thinks that it's better (?) to give the new software features only to...
