That's about what I would expect. Yours seemed to work. Seems like mine isn't working as it should have gone up at least 7F-10F in half that time. Unless maybe preconditioning doesn't happen if the battery is already above 50F or something?
Be nice if there were a better way to do this. I...
I did a short test in ours yesterday. Battery and outside temp were both 56F when I got in. Switched it to Sport+ (we have the chrono) for the 10 minute drive. Still 56F when I arrived. I know 10 minutes isn't long enough to do a full precondition but it didn't even move a degree, let alone...
A precondition button would be even better, yes.
But in the absence of that, setting the nav to a DCFC station name vs any other destination name should be an easy alternative.
Unless I'm missing what you're saying, the destination is not an icon, it's the entire top section of the nav showing arrival time, arrival%, etc. Then the recommended en-route charging stops are little boxes that slide up/down the vertical line based on how far away they are.
In any case, not...
One good thing about the Macan vs some other EVs... you can do the PCM reboot while the car is moving.
Our Lucid Gravity has to be pulled over and put in park.
A txt message notification? Yes, we had been getting that a lot. It won't swipe away, covers up 1/3 of the screen, and the only way I can clear it is to reboot the PCM. Super annoying.
Typically happens when the car starts up and connects to the phone via bluetooth, and it "catches up" on txt...
When I picked mine up, they gave me the standard receipt paperwork that details what service was performed. It clearly listed the VR28.13 update as one of the items.
Gonna drive the car some today to see if the update they did yesterday changed anything. In the mean time I'm taking some steps to reduce some of the frustrating bugs. There's 2 of us that drive the car, thus frequent switching back and forth. Some of the quirks seem related to switching...
We just picked our Macan up from the dealer from having the VR28.13 update done. No problems on the drive home, and it AC charges at home fine. It's on the EVSE in our garage right now.
I should have been making a list of bugs for the dealer, but I know it's kinda pointless as they're nearly all things that would take a software fix which they can't do. Just gotta hope Porsche sends them out. My Macan is at the dealer right now getting the one update that's come out. I read...
I don't expect Porsche to be "ahead" on software.
But I do expect the software that exists on my $95k Porsche to work. That's what I want OTAs for - not to add a bunch of new great features, but to seamlessly fix the existing broken ones.
Or at least timely fixes via dealer service.
Agreed, frustrating.
Granted, sucking at software and updates is more the norm than the exception for many EVs and manufacturers. But it's like Porsche isn't even trying. I could accept that more if it were a budget brand, but they're just the opposite. If anything, Porsche's are...
Yes, that's been a frustration for years with non-Tesla EVs. We can get the EA Pass+ (or SC) membership discount, or we can get Plug&Charge, but not both.
There was a period where I got a similar discount from Ford in my Mach-E, but that was a beta testing program that they eventually dropped...
