Until they solve the charging stations problem (helped when Porsche can access Superchargers), sales will probably continue to be unsteady. Lots of people live in multi family housing situations where getting a home charger is not an option. I’ve owned Tesla’s since 2013 and been a believer...
If you click the button to the right of that scroll wheel, you’ll see white outlines that cycle through the different gauges on the dash in front of of you. Press that button until the middle section is highlighted, then use the scroll wheel to cycle through the different view options until you...
It's been raining here in the Bay Area last few days. Yesterday, I got a bunch of warning lights that the collision detection sensor, adaptive cruise control and various other systems (that seems to rely on the front sensors) were not available (I don't have Innodrive). This morning the warnings...
I bought a Gallardo back in 2004 and went in fully expecting gremlins and bugs (car first came out in 2003). Sure enough, lots of issues with the car, but it wasn’t a daily driver, and plus the dealer always sent a couple of guys to pick up the car and deliver it when getting serviced so very...
You can find cheaper for sure. He’s pretty thorough, does paint correction before, removed certain small bits to get perfect seems, etc. so it wasn’t a small job. Cayenne is a sizable car. ~$10k in Bay Area seems consistent
Why not just leave the frunk open/ajar when youre away for long periods? (Assuming you’re leaving it in your garage of course.) That way you can access the 12v battery if it does die when you return.
I've seen that error before (using a prior version of the app, can't recall which one. It seems to happen intermittently because the next day, it worked fine. I count it as one of (many) software issues that the Macan EV/Porsche are having (Plug and Charge problems, clock not setting problem, etc.)
I like Pedro at Ceramic Pro in San Rafael. Good guy, really good work. Perhaps not the quickest, but he’s very thorough and careful. I PPF’d my wife’s entire Cayenne hybrid which took 5 days for about $12k.
Yeah. I was using the "TeslaTap Mini" as my J1772 adapter (I use a Tesla wall charger), and had been using it fine for a while. But the adapter does not lock itself onto the end of the Tesla side of the cable, and likely my wife didn't double check to make sure it was seated properly. I switched...
You can just tap “Direct charging” and it will override your settings and allow you to charge right away. When completed, you should make sure Direct charging is then turned off so that your schedule takes precedent again.
Yes, completely agree. The planned departure thing is silly. They should just provide scheduled charging and that would be way easier to understand and manage.e
Wouldn’t that be the correct behavior? If your battery level was low enough that it would need more time to fully charge by 6am, you would want it to start sooner, no?
