I have not done it on the Macan, but from my experience with BMWs with HUD, you are wise to be cautious about putting anything between the HUD projector and the (already coated) windshield.
itās been a few years, though. IIRC, the HUD still worked on the BMW with a very light ceramic tint, but...
XR Plus. Better heat rejection, better optical clarity and reduced signal interference over the black. I donāt really have any full side view shot in good light, but FWIW, the color looks to me like it matches. Just a hair lighter due to being only 35% instead of 20%
This is correct. Factory tint is about 20 percent and is color only. If you want to add UV rejection, youāll need to add a 70 percent on top of that.
I tinted the fronts with a top-of-the-line Xpel 35 percent which is the darkest legal tint in Colorado. will see how it does with UV and heat...
If we were ordering a car, this is what I wouldāve done. The car we bought was already in dealer inventory and unclaimed, so we went with the BlackBerry interior which also works well with Provence.
I hear ya on the whole EV roadtrip thing. Might be worth seeing if theyāll let you ātake deliveryā at PEC to take advantage of the hospitality and track time in a āsimilar carā, but have the car shipped to your local dealer for the real delivery thereby avoiding the 726 mile EV roadtrip.
Respectfully disagree. While everyone else is sliding off the road or unable to climb and descend hills, my X-Ice equipped X5 is comparatively like Velcro and stuck to the (snow covered) road. Agree that performance (of any tire) better with chains or studs.
My experience with the Alpins was...
The Macan is on 21-inch Off-road Design wheels with stock size 255/295 rubber which is not optimal for snow. I wouldāve preferred a 20-inch with narrower tires, but wasnāt ready to buy another set of wheels just yet. The Cayenne was on 21-inch as well with 295 all around.
Since you are already pretty much going all out and spending $132k, why not throw another $1000 at it and take delivery at a PEC closest to you? Iāve heard only glowing reports from those who did this and I was planning on it, too, before we bought our 4S off the dealer lot.
Every review Iāve seen comparing the Alpin 5 and X-Ice say that the Alpin is a great tire, but only for moderate winter conditions. The X-Ice is the only safe choice for unplowed snow and extreme cold.
My own experience with the Alpins on my Cayenne was that they are not nearly as stable in the...
As a longtime BMW enthusiast and collector, Iāve driven and owned many BMWs. The iX is indeed a fantastic vehicle! The interior is more luxurious, the range may be better, it may even be faster 0-60, however, it does not compare to the Macan EV in two very important areas: 1) the overall...
Turns out the Barrel of the wheel is pretty close. Offset is ok so the inward face of the wheel clears the calipers just fine, but the close proximity of the barrel makes it not worth taking a chance at this time. Iāll wait until I can do an actual test fit.
Thatās why I ask here because it ālooksā like they should fit, but itās also rather close. I donāt want to waste the time going to look at the spare wheels unless they are a guaranteed fit.
I want to get a separate set of wheels for winter. I have a chance to purchase a set of 19-inch wheels with offsets that will fit (and provide extra clearance), but canāt find any data about the smaller wheel diameter which is smaller than the smallest stock sized 20-inch wheel. Anyone running...
